Yet another far from ideal recording. This one is recorded with my acoustic bass (a Dean Performer). The G string notes tend to get overpowered at times, sorry about that. Enjoy!

When I am Let Loose From This Pit, There Will Be Hell to Pay

The first tune I've recorded with effects. I'm still new to using pedals, so I need more practice switching them on and off while playing, but here's my first attempt. Boss DD-3 digital delay, Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus, and MXR Phase 100 are all used at various points (though not all three together at the same time!). Please forgive the mistakes in playing, I'm a bit short on time but I wanted to get something up because it's been too long. Hope you enjoy. (I used my practice amp to record this one because apparently something about the electrical wiring in this house does not like my big amp plugged into my computer.)

Desperation in the War Against Time

This is another take on an oldie but goody. The recording sounds a lot more messy, but this tune was better suited to my acoustic bass. I also used a couple of effects and added a change to one of the riffs (in one section) and added a brand new section. I liked the changes too much to keep up the original recording. Hope you enjoy.

Consider this the start of my "second album", haha. Sorry for the sometimes sloppy playing and the one glaring mistake. Actually, I might work that mistake into the finished product.

The Storm Is Fast Approaching and I Have No Shelter

A riff I painstakingly crafted and sloppily performed. Starts off clean, after four times through, I add a chorus for a couple measures, then clean for one, then phaser for two, clean, overdrive, clean, delay for four, delay + overdrive for a bit, delay + overdrive + phaser for a bit, then phaser off, then overdrive off, and then delay off for two or three more clean measures.

Far from perfect but I'm going with this take. If this were on an album, it would follow the tune "The Storm is Fast Approaching and I Have No Shelter." So I guess this would hypothetically be track 2 on my second album, haha.

A Slave to Exhaustion

It's long but it's a bit of a journey. Smoke up...get swept away, and rock out with me.

Tigo's Theme

The song title fits in with the theme of "The Storm is Fast Approaching and I Have No Shelter" and "A Slave to Exhaustion." This title is a line from Star Wars, and these titles are loosely based on how I felt a while ago, burnt out, frustrated, automated, losing myself. But goodness, it doesn't have to be in reference to just that specific time in my life. I imagine we all feel like that from time to time.

But you know there is hope. A tune with a more hopeful title will come along some day.

Until then, I hope you enjoy this one. It's long, and hard to get a *really* good take without messing up, but you get the idea. It has some of the most "progressive" riffs I've written yet, and it's mostly played clean. Then it gets a little more....psychedelic. And then kind of heavy and emotional. It's a journey, which I guess is my style. Please do rock out with me!

He's More Machine Now than Man

Sorry for the sloppiness, this one-take recording style is frustrating. You get the gist of it though. I rocked this one hard when I played it live at my first gig. It has lots of very pretty chords, plus a riff that rocks. In fact, very little riffage in this one. Much more about chords. It's quite different from many of my other tunes. I really like this one, I think you will too.

Breath Deep the Second Wind

Kind of a companion piece to "Desperation in the War Against Time." Or I had that in mind when I originally wrote it, anyway. This is a little better version of the tune, song structure has been altered slightly (for the better!) and there are some subtle (and also not subtle) changes in the effects pedals used.

Oh, and I guess I play this song slower now than I used to. Right on!

An Corp

One of the more "driving" tunes I've written lately. The riffs are slightly complex, I think the use of effects is tasteful, and I dig the song structure. Enjoy, and rock out!

I admit, I have poor slap technique, but this sound wouldn't sound right without it. This is a hard one to play, but this was the best take I was going to get. Hopefully you can still vibe with it, despite the imperfections.
