Cuttin' Headz continues to define the contemporary house landscape with another superb EP, this time from Toman. The Dutchman has been hugely prolific since breaking through and his unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets like No Art, Moscow & Eastenderz.

This fresh new EP opens with Madrugada, a tightly coiled bit of tech funk. The kicking drums and razor sharp hi hats are detailed with cool female vocal stabs, whirring effects and dramatic fills that really make the track pop. Better Is Weather is a much deeper tune but one that still packs a punch. The super balmy pads bring a nice summery feel to the breezy late night grooves and hints of garage skip.

All in all, another incredible standout EP from all involved.

Hungarian DJ/producer Viktor Udvari AKA Capeesh Society lands on Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two imprint with an EP brimming with solid house chops and infectious grooves. Having made a big impact on the burgeoning scene in his native country, the seasoned producer chisels out a quartet of dancefloor slammers on the ‘Path Of The Loners’ EP.

With early praise from the likes of Raresh, Petre Inspirescu and Barac, Capeesh Society has built up an international following via releases and remixes on Ben Rau’s META, Knee Deep In Sound and Hungarian Hot Wax, moving his sound into the chunkier end of house and electronic dance over the years.

‘Blackout Function’ opens the EP with punchy drums and dubby vocal chops, powered by a thunderous b-line and hypnotizing stabs, whilst ‘Money Talks’ is built upon a skippy break that unfurls into an irresistible groove punctuated with soulful vox and glacial keys. ‘Let’s Go’ is a pure roller, as Capeesh deploys shiny hats over a deep production that drops in all the right places, and ‘Crafty Income’ wraps up the EP in fine style with a sprightly organ driven booty shaker!

So for a little present from me to you, Here's a Tribute i made for CeCe Rogers. I tried to make it sound as Old-school as possible to do the man justice and fit with what he preaches. SOUL!

After creating all the elements to this track i then recorded it live through Ableton, in one take, hopefully it gives it more of a human feel and will really suit Zi dance floor!

This January will see Home Invasion offer up three fresh remixes from Seuil, Burnski and D'Julz of Franck Roger ft. Mandel Turner's 'After All', releases on the label in early 2017.

Early 2017 saw Franck Roger unveil one of his most revered records to date over the past two decades, his collaboration with stateside vocalist and long time friend Mandel Turner, which started as an MPC jam by Franck before layering a bass hook and Turner's infectious vocals to create a contemporary twist on a classic New Jersey Garage sound. Once finished the record was given directly to Apollonia crew who championed it throughout the Ibiza season at their DC10 residency, and now following the success of the original release Franck revisits it with the help of some close friends and associates with a vinyl release of remixes, all of which cater to different hours on the dance floor.

The original mix opens the package before Hold Youth member Seuil delivers his raw, intricate and percussive driven take on things with his 'Reshape Dub'.

Constant Sounds' Burnski steps up next with his rework, fusing hooky vocal snippets from the original with sturdy rhythms and bumpy bass stabs before D'Julz closes the package on a deeper tip employing airy chord sequences, choppy string hits, Turners emotive vocals and shuffled organic percussion.

Devstar and Timmy P launch Make You Move Records this June, with the first EP coming via the latter’s ‘Keep Off My Drums’ EP backed by remixes from Devstar and James Dexter.
The brainchild of two bubbling UK talents firmly on the rise, this Summer welcomes the launch of a new imprint into the house music sphere as Devstar (Madtech, DVINE Sounds, Toolroom) and Timmy P (Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Madhouse) reveal their new project: Make You Move Records ('MYMR'). MYMR has an ethos of delivering fun, jazz- infused house music, with influences drawn from the 90’s underground scene but presented via a refreshed take for the modern dancefloor. The label will release music from both label founders and tightly selected artists, whilst conveying the energetic and fun-loving personality of the project via the label’s unique artwork and illustrations. Up first, late-June sees Timmy P deliver the debut offering on the label as he unveils his ‘Keep Of My Drums’ EP , backed by remixes from co-founder Devstar and Inermu boss James Dexter.

Title cut ‘Keep Off My Drums’ opens the EP in slick fashion, taking cues from its title as rolling organic percussion arrangements meet resonant chord melodies and soulful and infectious lead vocals, whilst Devstar’s remix introduces icy hats and classic 90’s influenced organ leads atop of shuffling, metallic drum licks. Next up, ‘Born Unslippery’ welcomes vivid electric piano lines alongside tough kicks and hazy background synths, before closing proceedings via James Dexter’s dubby and heady interpretation of the classy production.
