I used to write painful songs, about how I treaded alone. 
But these days have been so warm, together waking up in the 'morn. 
I tried to just laugh a lot. All those months ago, with my sad thoughts. 
But then you, just walked through and through. 
Seeing you never makes me blue. 

I could spend all day with you. I could lay down next to you. I could fall asleep with you. I could wake up next to you. 

We should quit smoking someday. Someday soon, someday soon. 
But for now I'll lose my lungs. I'll lose them with you, I'll lose them with you.

Trapped myself back, sinking into a hazy past. 
Fell into dreams, a place with more sincerity. 

Not this time, She's not mine. 

Now we lie, a state where we shouldn't be. 
Strangers now, lift your eyes and look at me. 

How could I say, my feelings are true? 
Desperate today, I have to have you. 

Selfish things tell me I can never be 
A heart at peace, a head of smiling.
