The waves, the waves that carry us with emotion and push us in different directions. To seek out love and happiness upon our journey. A map that unfolds an untold story. We feel sadness and pain until we are pshed through the open doors. Until we reach the cross roads. We make connections, lines and patterns that guide us to each other, in another place and time…

Emma Lou AKA Fox Particles: Born In Liverpool
Self Taught Dj and Producer.

Emma has always had a massive interest in music and recording sound, she says 'it is just in me, i hear music in my head all the time, ever since i was as a very young child'.
Emma has been musically and artistically inspired by almost every genere of music. 
Growing up in the early eighties, she was influenced by  Pink Floyd and Kate bush. 'When i was 5 i watched The Wall, I didnt really get it at the time but  i loved it, i have always wanted to produce a similar project with music and film'
'in the 90's i used to watch MTV alot and began recording music usiing my dads stereo using Aux out, i would then record mix tapes on cassettes and make my own radio show at home with my sister and we would put on american accents!
It was something i really enjoyed. I was only ever happy when I was making something, it gave me the best buzz inside'. 
listening to various genres of music as she  grew up, when Emma was 16 she became very interested in dance music, mostly UK Garage and drum & bass.
'Listening to Garage packs which i used to collect' Sidewinder, Garage Nation, Sun City was how i became interested in mixing music'
Emma would spend hours in local shops, 3 Beat Records and static records in Liverpool. ' it was a bit weird at first going into record shops because everyone used to stare at me because there just wasn't many girl djs around in them days'
Emma recieved her first set of decks back in 2002, Where she began learning how to mix by listening to dj's mix tapes, inflenced by DJ EZ and 138 trek Dj Zinc.
Starting a DJ course where she progressed in her skills at 19, she soon became involved in producing music with local rap groups and began song writing.
This gave her the ability to broaden her creativity, as she devled in all different kinds of genres using her abilty to create, mix and write to any style of music.
Since then Emma has played and attended events in Liverpool such as (underground venue,The Masque), mumu, Circus and Chibuku.
Emma moved to Manchester in 2012, naming herself FOX PARTICLES & THE STICKMEN IN THE SAND beinging recognised for her musical talent, has played in Bassment, Antwerp mansion and isington mill.
Currently holding a residency with (underground) music event BEATNIK which has held an exellent reputation since starting up in ( )

personal notes 'it is sometimes very lonely in my world, and if I wasn’t doing anything creative I would become very unhappy.
all these ideas would fill up my mind, like a shaken, fizzy bottle of pop with the lid sealed tightly. 
Not being able to do anything with these ideas would make me go crazy' 

'I always said I don’t care about money, I never came from money so I was used to it. I always thought as long as I was doing what made me happy and hoped that what I do could inspire others in some way then maybe someday it would get me somewhere and that would be enough for me'.
