So I literally had no ideas for a score. All I do on Flat for like a week was like and comment on songs (which is still fun, don't get me wrong.) But I wanted to make a good piece, like Time, my latest one. So I sat down one night and did the first four measures.
Later I added cello (because you know me and cello) and even marimba. I wasn't sure if the marimba really fit in, so that's why I asked @dont_eat_my_pretzels for advice. They said it sounded good, so I kept it. And I like how this turned out.
I will by posting an 80's medley - but I have no idea when. I also shared a score with Dog Lover to start on their 150 follower special.*CLAP CLAP CLAP*

So sorry for the SO many posts, I swear after this one I'll lay off for like a week or two. Maybe I'll post once a week. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

The true story:
Like many others, my family adopted a COVID puppy. She is a tiny, naughty, and adorable toy poodle, and if you don’t know what that is look up a picture. (If you do, still look up a picture because cute animal pictures are good for you - because I totally have scientific research to support that claim.) And I am a devoted cat person, but I am beginning to understand dog people just a little bit more. Everyone loves her.

And here is the cruel part:

When I said ‘everyone,’ I excluded the cat.

I have a black tabby tux named Cutey, and he is superior to dogs. (At least in his mind.) He is a pretty big cat - and he is bigger than the aforementioned puffball. And it should be noted that while that is true now, when she is full grown, she was even smaller when she first made her entrance into Cutey’s territory.

When we first got this puppy, the cat avoided her at all costs - and she just wanted to be friends. But no - Cutey relocated out onto the deck, which is now his permanent home base. At this point in time he will swipe at her when she is annoying, but these lyrics are from those terrible first few months...

Needless to say, my cat is very talented. I did my best with the translation, but is was impossible to replicate his ingenious rhyme scheme with English - As is true of many works, to understand the true beauty of this piece of literature, one must learn the true language. So, unless you happen to be fluent in Kittish, y’all have homework.

No, I know, it doesn't work that way. But I'm just really excited to upload my Flat scores to SoundCloud so I make up excuses. No promises, but I really will try not to post for one week, then my weekly track.
⭐Shoutouts to @a_sharp_is_not_b_flat (@the_sharpest_of_all_sharps ) for giving me the idea to try a waltz...and to @22aydben on Flat. I'll explain why in a second.⭐
BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING, I know now waltzes are typically in 3/4. But I put mine in 4/4. @22aydben pointed this out, and I am doing a 3/4 version right now with the help of @22aydben. So...please don't say anything about the 3/4 lol.
SO sorry for the broken-promise score, I swear (I hope) it'll be a week before I publish anything new.

So, this is my 150 follower special on Flat. To all of you Flat-ers (Flat-ers?) on SoundCloud, I thank you all again. You guys are what pushes me to go forward, even when it gets hard and/or I procrastinate. (Yes, I am EVENTUALLY going to work on my Under Pressure arrangement.) But you guys are so flipping amazing.
Anyway, I arranged this by ear, which I am very proud of. There are four piano parts: A piano part for Bon Iver, a piano part for Taylor Swift, and the background two pianos. This is not finished, but I wanted to have it done in time for my 150 followers point, so when I got there I just published it as it is. I will try to finish it, though. *cough*

Okay! Moving on! I actually started this BEFORE I heard about Joule's calm-song competition, so it was literally *perfect* timing. And I'm proud about how this turned out. Oh, as I am terrible at naming things, Walking in the Rain is the name. This was giving me rainy vibes...so yeah.

The Revenge Of The Black Cat

To those of you who read the description, I have a couple of important things to say.
This song is slightly based on the traditional song - Pumpkin Boogie. Pumpkin Boogie is technically a Halloween song, but whatever :)
Also I made this on my piano and transcribed it to Flat. So if you guys want a version of my playing this on the piano, just let me know. If enough of you want that then I'll see how it goes.

Hi everyone!

So today I decided I wanted to play a recording of me playing a song! Woo-hoo! So I decided to play Bohemian Rhapsody.

If you don't know this song, go listen to the original RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT OR ELSE. It's by Queen, and the the Freddie Mercury sings the lyrics. (No, there are no lyrics in my version because yes, I can't sing).

But this song was really hard to learn. It made me realize what a genius good ol' Freddie actually is. We all miss you, Freddie.

Anyway, tell me what you all think of this! If you like I will *possibly* upload it to Flat.
