Star Creature is a label and artist collective based in Chicago, founded by Tim Zawada in 2015. Left leaning, music from across the tempo spectrum, available on wax for DJs and Dancers, 200 vinyl releases in and 10 years in the game, still pushing their sound forward and still ahead of the curve. Their wide-ranging catalog is a constant conversation between Windy City DJ booths, record shops and dancefloors and the global community that is hungry for that ‘Taste of Chicago’. The roster includes E. Live, Saucy Lady, Giovanni Damico, Shiro Schwarz, Mogwaa, Midnight Runners, JKriv, Stimulator Jones, XL Middleton, and Chicago's own Donnell Pitman, with hot remixes from Derrick Carter, Caribou (Daphni), Byron The Aquarius, Phil Gerus and Hotmood.
Over the past decade St Petersburg artist, A Vision of Panorama, has released some of the most beguiling Nu-Balearic now becoming one of the most trusted names in the global Deep-Space Disco, Future Boogie and Softcore Club Scenes. Drawing on sun kissed synthesizer grooves, languid nu-disco and hazy pop for inspiration, he serves up plush, symphonic synth tapestries dripping with good vibes and accomplished musicality.
Here Star Creature and AVOP continue their fruitful partnership with another massive 12" - the follow up to the largely instrumental Fusion To Illusion LP - which takes us back to the Nu-Balearic Deep House Boogie RnB zone that this duo does so perfectly well. Cool Sounding, no cheese, futuristic yet retro, AVOP taps up collaborators Sykes and Stacie G for prime-time casual lounge soft-core vocal vibes. The A Side also sees previous 7" only tune ‘Purple’ get the 12" treatment alongside instrumental ‘Ear Dreamin'. Flip it over for some dreamy instrumentals.
