Trendsetting keeps within the spirt of “It Ain’t Looking Good” by taking it’s inspiration from people I meet at work and the neighborhood I work in. Two youth I know were really proud of having fake Yeezy Boost 350s. I have never been into sneaker culture but have had friends at various points in time that were. I had never seen Yeezys before, and don’t like Kanye's personality, but I had to find out more about these shoes. I eventually went down the rabbit hole and learned more about counterfeit shoes. It reminded me of a scene from the movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka,” where they were talking about fake gold necklaces making your skin green (at least I think it was a scene in that movie, lol). It also reminded me of a time I went to Malaysia and someone I knew was following lead after lead, into alley after alley, to get the highest quality imitation purses and watches. Capitalism. Consumerism. Well whatever. lol

Huge shout out to Bitzone, DeeP, and Frawstakwa for regularly reaching out to make music with me. I am grateful to have so many collaborators and online musical friendships. You are all the best. Having friends to make music with and a community to share creations with is what matters the most.

«Io, Ennio Morricone, sono morto. Lo annuncio così a tutti gli amici che mi sono stati sempre vicino e anche a quelli un po’ lontani, che saluto con grande affetto. Impossibile nominarli tutti.  C’è solo una ragione che mi spinge a salutare tutti così e ad avere un funerale in forma privata: non voglio disturbare.

Non voleva disturbare. Come se fosse possibile. Ennio Morricone se ne va lasciandoci con in testa quei suoi capolavori senza tempo, leggendario sottofondo di scene scolpite nella storia del cinema: da Noodles che dice di essere andato a letto presto per anni, in C’era una volta in America, all’arrivo alla stazione di Flagstone dell’ex prostituta Jill McBain, su una musica ultraterrena come Claudia Cardinale in C’era una volta il West. Da quando, poco dopo le 2 del mattino, si è sparsa la voce che il maestro non c’era più (leggi l’articolo: È morto Ennio Morricone), è stato un tributo continuo al compositore che tante volte ci ha fatto emozionare.
