After our previous collaboration, I was so pleased when EllE (Cycle of Hands) agreed to work with me again on this new track, both with the music and vocals. It has not exactly been an easy ride and I have to admit that at times I almost gave up on it...but I am so, so glad that we both persevered, as '4am' has become something rather special and unique. Huge thanks to EllE. She is - and always will be - a star.

I’ve been hitting on something much bigger than fiction 
I know Because it comes straight from my deepest intuition 
It can’t wait to escape from everything I’ve written 
Leaping from the words the moment you see em

A couple of months ago, Rodolfo Planes from Tierra del Fuego sent me a wonderful piece of music (in a different key and without lead guitar) that he hoped I’d write lyrics for… 
I was so excited that the first verse popped into my head almost straightaway, and with great patience and honesty, Rodolfo lead me through the learning curve that would be the gestation of this song.
The passionate music somehow stirred in me a sense of longing and belonging, combined with the enforced isolation from loved ones during lockdown. I think Rodolfo’s music helped me express this powerfully.
His solo still continues to move me even after countless listens. I am very grateful to him for this opportunity and I sincerely hope we can work on other projects.
