Phace - "Hot Rock" (fpoole "Core Sample" Remix)

I am soundtracking the Anthropocene.

This endeavor in synthetic sound design has been my homage to Arthur C. Clarke's lost-then-found spacefarer, 'Frank Poole.' Pervasive and ubiquitous technologies now threaten to dispose of the biosphere—just as HAL 9000 disposed of Frank Poole.

The distance which now separates each person from the next is as timeless and frigid as the vast abyss of space itself. Perhaps this merits contemplation of the origins of our predicament and the ontology which accepts this novel cultural norm as natural.

My anthropological inquiries tend toward the meta-ontological, pursuing the relationship between models of reality and human cultural activity.
