until it becomes eternal.

The lost have not disappeared.
They are already drops in the infinite:
reflection, echo, metamorphosis.

And when we remain on the shore
we do not contemplate the end,
but the transformation without return
of what we love
and what will never be the same again.

Then let us ask, as we contemplate the infinite:
are we still ourselves,
or are we already part of the ocean?
