for those of you who don't know today 10/31 is my birthday, and there is a specific reason why i'm choosing to drop this project on this day.. the topic misunderstood is something i've felt my whole life... today is my birthday by law and it's the date that is on my drivers license, but in all actuality i don't have a birthday.. i was an orphan when i was a baby.. i have no records of my actual birth, or anything of that nature.. when i was almost 2 a doctor said based off of growth and development i had to be born in these months on this year... then i was "assigned" my "birthday".. growing up it was always a challenge for me to fit in, and i've always felt out of place... still to this day i'm still trying find my place and figure out what's going on and it's a daily challenge.. music has been my main outlet and escape for some of the challenges i've had in my life... i'm not regularly good at opening up so this was not easy for me... well for those of you who are going to check out this project, "misunderstood" is on all platforms 🥀

This song is called Long Way Home, which is a play on a few things. I traveled to LA to make this song with J Nanks, a much bigger artist than me. I was thinking about how I was far away from home and kind of started from there. I also used my personal experience with love and heartbreak how it is hard for me to ask for help, and I view myself as a loner sometimes in relationships instead of a partnership. It's a very raw emotion song.
