LORNA DUNE is the solo synthesizer project of Brooklyn-based experimental musician, Lorna Krier. Sidereal, her debut EP, was released on cassette and digital download in March 2012 through Dazzleships Records.

Lorna Dune has been described as a combination of minimalist synthpop and psychedelic dreamwave; a cosmic odyssey of analog synthesizers creating nebulas of ambient drones, poly-rhythmic clouds, soaring saccharine melodies, supported by a perpetual motorik drive.

Note: the below description of this track was written in 2012. Updates since then include a bunch of crazy awesome stuff that happened in NYC, then got priced out, moved to Oregon (yup, Portland).

About the work: 
I wrote this piece when I couldn't walk. 
I had recently been betrayed and forced to relocate
into living with strangers under a train.
I didn't have insurance or friends 
I felt comfortable with holding my hair back. 
It's amazing how much a woman can suppress
when it feels like survival to do so.

Did you know that our inner ear 
is a psychosomatic area?
Did you know that our inner ear 
is the gatekeeper between Balance and pure Hell
Infection/Anxiety 
Chicken/Egg/Chicken
Light hurts, only darkness
sound-piercing whispers
Which way is up.... up? 
constructed. there is no such thing. 
dis.disability. 
healing thoughts.
healing sounds.
can't find them? create them. 

(i got better. i meditated and composed healing music for myself ((as well as lots of steroids)).
