BIOGRAPHY

Benicci, DJ and Producer, emerges as an unstoppable force on the international music scene. Raised in a family immersed in the artistic and cultural world, he absorbed influences that shaped his creative journey from the beginning.

In a surprisingly short time since the conception of his project, Benicci has already accumulated an impressive list of achievements. His releases resonate on some of the most respected labels around the globe, from Switzerland to Australia, from Greece to the United States, and more. His presence is felt on the main charts, such as the Top 100 on Beatport, Top100 on Traxsource and TopChart on iTunes.

One of the highlights of his career to date was the release of the track "Taki Taki", chosen by Beatport as one of the best Indie Dance releases of 2024. This distinction only corroborates Benicci's remarkable ability to create works that transcend borders and win the hearts of listeners around the world. 

With more than 70 releases and collaborations with major labels such as Pillar, Dear Deer Dubs, Sapient Robots, SoundTeller Records, Hiato, Mind Connector and Natura Viva, Reptilia among others, his influence and impact on the music scene are undeniable.

Hailing from Manchester, the musical influences of the city in the late 80’s and early 90’s had a big effect on Carl Higson’s musical taste. From Hip Hop to Indie and Ambient to Acid House, an eclectic mixture of genres has always had an influence on his musical direction.

Enjoying the party and nightlife scenes of Manchester and Leeds, Carl began DJ’ing in the early 2000’s. Striving to play long eclectic sets, he enjoyed several years of DJ’ing on the tropical beaches of South Goa, from chilled ambient sounds at sunset through to house and techno into the night bucking the trend of the notorious psy trance scene in the area. 

His productions are always on the deeper side of electronica from having early tracks released on Italian label Ban-Off music, to putting out his own albums and EP’s on Bandcamp and more recently having releases on Manual Music/MNL, Gibbon Records, Astir and Underground Kollektiv. 
House music has always been his biggest love with deeper and melodic sounds influencing his mixes and productions. 

Carl now enjoys living in the Lake District in Cumbria, where nature and the landscapes of the fells influence his melodic productions. He regularly plays vinyl sets across the county and is also the co-founder of Electric Boutique, a bi-monthly club night held in his home town of Kendal. The night nurtures local DJ talent whilst bringing the sounds of the underground to the area.

After that, he transformed his love for techno into making a track.
Driven and inspired by Australian rave culture.
He returned to his hometown in South Korea, and Released several albums.
His music was discovered by local scene and supported by Mix mag Korea.
With his music, he was like a mad scientist. He experimented with electric sound, which became more beautiful and deeper.
The odd, experimental Sounds Kept Shaking people's hearts.
The atmospheric blend of Afro and melodic house he brings to the table will transport the audience to profound realms.

Hello and welcome once again to the Depth Perception Sessions. This week Dutchman Bram VanK joins us to deliver episode #121.

BIO:
Rotterdam based Bram VanK's passion is house and techno music with a progressive edge and soul, deep and melodic.
After a successful start producing music (under monikers as Funkstar Criminal, Max Dione, Groove Doctor, RB Fusion) back in 1999. Bram took a break around 2008. After that break of well over 12 years, stimulated by family and friends, Bram is back in the game of songwriting, producing and a bit djing.

Bram is inspired by artists like Funk D'void, Laurent Garnier, Sven Väth, Carl Craig and Dimitri Kneppers. So receiving support from the likes of Funk D'void, Dimitri Kneppers, Colin Dalle and Katotte on his recent releases like the 'Get On With It' EP, 'In Town' EP, ‘Becasue My Boss Sais So!’ and ‘ Dance De La Folie’ is an amazing bonus and huge recognition. And such much more is coming. For now secrets ….but keep an eye out!

This week we welcome UK based multi-genre artist Riigs to take care of episode #124. Mark brings a speaker rattling session of fizzing breaks and savage basslines. Turn this UP!

Bio:

Mark Allin (AKA Riigs) makes music for the feet, head and heart.  

Based in London he creates garage, dubstep, DnB and house music with a flair for deep grooves and rich, textured drums.  His latest EP ‘Blank Time’ was released in 2025 on Taipan Trax and has been played on BBC R6 and in DJ sets around the world. 

He works with a number of wildly talented collaborators from around the world and is always pushing the boundaries of his music with new work taking a deep and often ambient turn alongside the bangers. 

Riigs performs live regularly, releases on a number of top labels and is co-owner of the rave and tech label Londam with Dutch producer Skenna.

Bio:

A regular contributor writer and music reviewer for music magazines - Decoded (UK), Underground Tel Aviv, Frisky Radio; Priya is based out of Mumbai, India. 
A former night club programmer, blogger she has added another dimension to her artistry as a DJ, covering the spectrum of Progressive House, Melodic House and Melodic Techno at some of the most prolific hot spots and electronic dance music nights that celebrate the underground. 
She is one of the busiest DJs in India and on many occasions lent support to artist tours such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Khen, Martin Roth, Stephan Bodzin, Just Her, Agents Of Time and many other renowned international artists in her country.
