Bio:

Berlin based DJ/Producer, MPathy, developed a strong interest for electronic music at a very young age. Growing up in the city of Berlin he was highly influenced by the electronic music scene in the 90’s. He later spent a couple of years in Chicago and also in Shanghai where he got involved with the local electronic music scenes, which ultimately shaped his outlook on electronic music today. With Techno music and DJing being his greatest passion for a long time, he started to work on his own productions in 2008. Since then he has produced Techno, Tech-House and Minimal music for various record labels.
After finishing his audio engineering studies in 2012 he joined the Berlin based Ethereal Techno label Steyoyoke. MPathy is responsible for the first and most successful Steyoyoke release in collaboration with Antonio Olivieri, ‘If I Were Music’. He played gigs all over Europe, Brazil and Africa and shared the decks with Oxia, Coeus, BLANCAh, Rauschhaus and Ran Salman, just to name a few.
MPathy is eager to push off in his own direction to continue to both challenge and provoke existing concepts of making unique and forward thinking music.

Depth Perception Sessions #68 - Omidox

Here we are again with the next episode of the Depth Perception Sessions.

This week we welcome the talented German artist Cary Crank to take care of episode #70.

Melodic techno at its finest in this session!

Bio:

“Music expresses what can not be said, and what it is impossible to keep silent about.” This quotation from the french writer Victor Hugo describes what has always driven Cary Crank: to find a language that is multi-layered enough to express that which moves him. 

Cary knew early on that music was his language. Growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, he witnessed the birth of techno live, and thoroughly immersed himself into its soundscape. An enthusiast of other genres as well, he played the guitar in rock bands, and produced electro pop for various projects. He built his own studio, which he transforms and reinvents time and time again. 

Since turning to Melodic Techno in 2018, he released several tracks and remixes on labels like Perspectives Digital, Parquet Recordings, Freegrant Music, Beatfreak Recordings, Monkey League, Flemcy Music, on his own label Sunexplosion and many more. His releases hit the Beatport Charts on a regular basis. The energy and analogue vibes in Cary's tracks are palpable, as he always travels to the core essence of a sound, and brings emotions to the dancefloor.

He produces himself and has already made remixes for other artists, but he has already released tracks on many other labels.

His mix series Outside The Box , Melodic House , Dreams and Indie Dance are one of the most played mixes on Kurt Kjergaard's Soundcloud page... with these mix series Kurt Kjergaard has become known everywhere from Germany to Australia... these mixes are played everywhere.
