This song is done with the Axe-Fx Ultra using the "Recto New" amp model with the onboard "T808 OD" drive block as a boost and a user cab IR (RedWirez Marshall G12 R121 Cap-3"). Lead parts used some delay and reverb from the Axe-Fx as well. The guitar uses Bareknuckle Nailbomb pickups and was recorded using the 1/4" outputs from the Axe-Fx straight into an Apogee Duet and into Logic 8. The only post processing was a loudness maximizer on the master bus to get the volume up on the mix.

An AX8 preset intended to sound like a cello.

Use AX8-Edit to import the bundle. You will need to store two user cab IRs. The Phaser and reverb represent a rudimentary attempt to physically model the cello body. When you activate momentary Control Switch 1, the sound becomes more legato.

Important: You may need to adjust the THRESHOLD of the two ADSRs. If your guitar is quiet, set these lower. If your guitar is loud, set these higher.

Here's another great work from Adam Cook, featuring extensive use of the Formant filter for a talk-box type lead sound. Melodic playing, great rhythm tones, a solid rock feel, and some really interesting counts round out this excellent composition. All guitars and bass recorded straight through the Axe-Fx with no post processing.
