This track from the album S.C.I.E.N.C.E. first got me into jungle back in 2001. Tried to stick to the original as much as I could in it's honour, so... enjoy!

My name is Maximus Base, a.k.a. Fractalist. I am a music producer from Cardiff, South Wales. I call myself the Fractalist, as my music is ever evolving and no track I create is ever the same; similar to the fractal patterns that can be found throughout nature. Although I predominantly make Drum and Bass/Future Jungle I do not tie myself down to a specific tempo/genre, as I feel this is limiting to the creative process.

The production software I use is Cubase, and I mix down in ProTools. All my Bass and Synth sounds are created from scratch and if I ever do use presets they are always modified and layered with various effects. My drums are all sample based, again layered with effects. I try to use as many live instrument samples in my work as I can. I play guitar, piano, didgeridoo and am learning the violin.

All I wish is for people to enjoy listening as much as I enjoy making these beats!

Thanks to all who have supported me thus far. Especially my housemates who have to put up with my noises, musical or otherwise.
