Gitche Manitou means "Great Spirit", "Giver of Life" in many Native American languages.

This song is inspired by a traditional chant often perfomed with raddle and drum around the fire. I made the following arrangement for a guitar version of this song.

Trying out ideas for tomorrow evening's live performance - which didn't come out quite as I hoped - being that we had a family tragedy this week which was soul crushing, and has completely drained us all...

The first half is live, improvised looping with the Korg Minilogue going through the tc electronic Ditto X4 looper (with delay and reverb provided by Strymon El Capistan and blueSky) and the second half is Eurorack modular featuring modules from Mutable Instruments, Intellijel Designs, Noise Engineering and Make Noise... including an appearance from the Make Noise 0-Coast.
