Music by technicality

Each note plays on a regular interval that's one beat longer than the note below it. The lowest note plays every second beat, the highest note plays every 39th beat. Each note is a half-step apart. This isn't meant to sound good, merely as an experiment to see how a large number of rhythms interact with each other. I chose the broken accordion as the instrument because I felt it fit with the dissonant nature of the piece, although an instrument with less of an echo would give a better idea of the overall structure, as rests occur at prime numbers, (after the first scale and before 41^2 or 1681 beats, after which they are only probably prime, although if the song played long enough most of the rests would not be prime), but it's my song and I can be inconsistent with how aesthetics guides my decisions.

Since every note occurs at regular intervals, any subset of notes will repeat themselves at the least common multiple of their periods. For all the notes taken together, only periods that are prime or prime powers will affect the overall period of the song. For 39 notes the period required for the song to repeat will be 2*3*2*5*7*2*3*11*13*2*17*19*23*5*3*29*31*2*37=5,342,931,457,063,200 assuming I did that right.
