Hey lovers,

Golden Gate is one of those rare Berlin institutions that has kept the unique vibe from the very beginning until today. It’s raw, it´s sweaty, it´s familiar.

Before my set, I spent the morning reminiscing with close friends, digging up our old stories from 10 even 15 years ago. “Remember that night with the snowstorm?” “Do you remember when the bar was still in the other room?” So many memories, all tied to this place.

It’s special to return to a club that means so much to you and still feel that same energy. Some places just stay with you forever. I met so many old faces and met some new friends.

It was that perfect Golden Gate afterhour moment to play heavy bass tracks with sexy vocals, weird twists and quirky cords - music that I won´t play in many other moments but Golden Gate.

Feel the bass.

Kafuné is a Uruguayan singer, DJ, composer and producer. Currently based in Berlin, he is redefining the joy of electronic music experience with his innovative hybrid set and compositions. The impact of his adventure and musical trips throughout Latin America and Europe is deeply embedded in his art, evoking sensations, landscapes, and stories in both his music and performances. Kafuné positions himself as an artist who blends the heritage of South American music language with the groove and elegance of House, Disco and the sensibility of Soul.

Kafuné has exhibited his live performance and DJ set in places like Berlin, Hamburg, Marburg, Cambridge, Perú, Chile, Mendoza, Barcelona and Uruguay, among others.

Kafuné´s music is a fresh proposal and invitation to explore the connection between cultures, sensations and to bring people together, without leaving the dance floor.

When the artist manages to retain the "Nullpunkt" as the frame of reference in his artwork, that is what Frag Maddin understands as true art. The product becomes a hommage to that moment.
