Part 3 starts with a bang and “In der Weltraumdiskothek” by mysterious Dresden based producer DC Production. If you’ve ever wondered what music would be played at the night club of the Ewoks this tune might be the answer. “Nuthin Wrong Here” is Scherbe to the bone with his stumbling beats, dirty synths and heartbreaking samples. We also have a big heart for Disco here at the valley and this is proven by Sandrow M & K_Chico who put a smile on our face with catchy guitar licks, bouncy bass lines and cheesy vocals. “Space Dancer”, what more could you desire? Finally, Filburt from Leipzig brings things down to a peaceful end with his slightly melancholic “My Time”.

C-Beams is the new joint project by Break SL and Sandrow M. who got to know each other during their activities for Uncanny Valley. “Thumbling” is the first result of these jam-sessions. The track starts out with warm synth pads over a thrilling drum arrangement with a slightly stumbling bass drum. All of a sudden synthesizer-chords come into play. While these chords are staccato-like at first, they merge into a laid-back solo. We can’t refrain from calling that pretty deep.

Berlin-born and based, Sophia @pschukk made her booth debut at @coppiberlin last year. Her selection is blending an array of genres and has a house-heavy touch. Regardless of tempo, Sophia repeatedly falls for sticky vocals, rhythmic percussions, or bassy grooves.

Um an Annette Ibing anzuschließen haben sich der Kölner @Hydrate und der Dresdner @Mois_RW das jeweils beste ihrer Welt rausgekramt und sich in der Mitte getroffen. Auf der einen Seite der exquisite Hard Groove mit dem ein oder anderen Hype Edit, immer nah am Zahn der Zeit, auf der anderen Seite veratzter Hard Techno gemischt mit der ein oder anderen Flasche Sekt. 
Hoffentlich bricht die Sonne noch durch die Wolken, die Sonnenbrille habe ich ja schon auf.

Wenn man den Sound von @el_sandovas und ihn kennt, kann man sich gut vorstellen, wie ein 16-jähriger mexikanischer Junge Progressive House und Trance in Jugendclubs in Mexiko City kennengelernt hat - sein Mix ist ein Beispiel für den proggy Sound, der derzeit die Menschen auf den dancefloor bringt. 

Mit seinen eigenen Worten:

Gespür für den Groove und Leidenschaft für das Experimentelle beschreibt Lysanders Sound gut. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Weimar, hat er seine musikalischen Wurzeln tief im House, Leftfield und in Electro. Schlagzeug-Unterricht und Papas alte Platten prägten seine heutige Affinität zu experimentellen Übergängen und Klängen, die immer wieder Bewegung auf die Tanzflächen und in die Dresdner DJ Szene bringen. Dort ist er in den letzten auch regelmäßig mit Veranstaltungen im Dunstkreis der @reinewaesche in Erscheinung getreten. Seine Offenheit, Wissbegierigkeit und Toleranz haben ihn darüber hinaus viel zum Reisen angetrieben. Unter Anderem in Griechenland und der Schweiz konnte er seinen Sound stetig neu erfinden. Neues und Unerwartetes halten daher immer wieder Einzug in seinen Sound, ohne sich jedoch den Wurzeln ganz abzukehren. @lysanderdj

NOAR/042: Guestmix w/ Lysander

@djkbye begann ihr DJ-Dasein vor 1,5 Jahren mit einer Loop von „Hi Barbie, Hi Ken“, aus der sie glücklicherweise irgendwann wieder herausgekommen ist. Wenn man ihren Stil in drei Worten beschreiben müsste, dann wären das wohl: Breaks, breaks, breaks. k bye lädt immer wieder dazu ein, die Grenzen des Gewohnten zu überschreiten, denn in ihrer Track Selection lassen sich die Four to the Floor Kicks an einer einzigen Hand abzählen. Was mit G-Tech und einer ordentlichen Portion Bootyshake begann, hat mittlerweile etwas mehr Ernsthaftigkeit gewonnen. Aber keine Sorge: Trotz des Exports von 01099 nach 04317 lassen ihre Sets zwischen gebrochenen Rhythmen, bouncigem Electro und treibenden Basslines auch noch genug Raum für verspielte Synths und Einflüsse aus dem Hip Hop.

It might not be overstated to call „You & Me“, the debut album by Jacob Korn, long overdue. Ever since the Dresden resident decided to focus more on the House side of electronic music in 2007 he released music that is equally good as it is promising. With records out on labels like Running Back, Dolly and of course his home base Uncanny Valley he’s been fueling expectations for a long play record.

Since he has been playing around with electronic music for the first time in the mid-
nineties, Jacob has always been very much into producing together with his pals. So it was only natural that “You & Me” turned out to be an album that summarizes a lot of the collaborations that happened over all the years. Whether it was with an artist who played in his hometown Dresden or with someone who showed him around the town he was performing his live set at, Jacob never missed the opportunity to get together inside a studio and just jam along. Those sessions not only resulted in a lot of friendships but also in a string of music that take House music to all its edges. A track like the dark and dirty “Heteronomous” with Uncanny Valley fellow Sneaker lines up alongside the bright and sunny anthem “Punta Del Este” together with Belgium’s San Soda. Artists like Christopher Rau or Mr Raoul K add their trademark sounds but there is always that specific approach of Jacob Korn that connects the tracks. But besides that conceptual background: “You & Me” is an album, which is here to extend the listener’s summer.

The concept of collaboration is even expanded on the cover artwork. A team of seven graphic artists led by Johannes Timbernagel interpreted the same template of Jacob’s face in their specific style. To bring them all together Johannes texturized a 3D-Model of Jacob’s head with a collage of all the drawings.
