"Hello! this is a collage consisting of original swallow music. I have been making music under swallow for nearly 10 years. i started making noises because I wanted to discard a bunch of CDs into attics and underpasses and bushes with obscure and anonymous sounds burnt on to them. Something about that made me laugh, go figure. so swallow music has always meant to feel like it has been found, origin, date and time unknown. From a distant future or past, weathered by time and untethered from coherent thoughts and through lines. it lets me untether chaotic impulses and reach for distant touchstones. perhaps they are fragments that will only be of interest in a thousand years. Hugely misleading artefacts of the time we live now. 

Throughout this piece, there are sounds and voices from my film ‘Torrents’. It is a film about things lost in transit, things lost as our modern transience erodes the permanence of physical memories and artefacts. 

This is an ode to the things and people we lose. A lost property office.

"this mix reflects on this year where i took a looser approach with music and reconnected with the dancefloor in a new way, embracing the small moments where it was about turning up and seeing where things go.

in this vein it's done in one take, with a lot of the tunes mixed for the first time, finding joy in mixing out of situations, as ropey as it can be sometimes.

so here is some sludge that folds into self, then unfurls and flails into down right ratchetness."
