NYC DJ and producer @deejaygeedee takes us on a trip in his Astral Planes mix. 

We discovered Gee Dee after hearing his killer Key of Sea EP on @planettrip and soon after realised his releases on @superior-elevation and @light-of-other-days are also winners. 

He has been making noise over the past couple of years as a resident at Brooklyn's @goodroombk, Philadelphia's @davep_makingtime and as the co-founder of Earth Beat, known for playing off-kilter world groovers and weird shit that you can't help but dance to.

Initially released and produced in Germany in 1995 as a tribute to Mike Dunn, it's in the techno realm that the "Catch It" EP won its acclaim when the hypnotic B side "Ruhrschnellweg" was featured into Laurent Garnier's seminal "Laboratoire Mix" in 1996. The Hong Kong based "Fragrant Harbour" team worked closely with the original artists to propose a meticulously re-mastered version by Matt Colton.

Number 10 in our TFS series felt like a teeny milestone, so it felt like a good time we finally put up one of our own mixes in the series.
I (Gabe) have taken the reins for this one, with an hour of some of my favourite reggae, dub, dancehall, and similar flavours.
Starts pretty loose with some lovers rock and easy-going dub, before moving in to a more mixed dancehall party section.

After a bit of a delay from our 13th mix (been a busy few weeks and you can't get Gabe to do owt around his birthday), we're hyped to be bringing you number 14 from our extremely talented mate Atdhe.
We first met him a few years back when him and Gabe started a lil disco party in Sheffield called Stepping Out. Some 20 parties later he upped and vanished over to Vietnam, where he currently resides and runs a small record shop.
A supremely talented producer with an incredible ear, his submission was never gonna be anything short of sublime. So sit back, relax, and enjoy as he dips and dives through jazz, funk, soul, synth-pop, brazilian electro, and a number of other styles that inform his sets.
