Co-founder of the respected Zaza Island events, Roni Amitai has grown as an artist almost as quickly as her rapidly expanding record collection. Together with Hilu, they have grown their event series to an enviable level that has meant they are able to invite top artists such as Sammy Dee, Cristi Cons and the Half Baked crew, Anthea, Francesco Del Garda, and Traumer. The list goes on and on, and it will continue to rise and rise. 

Having been looking to bring Roni to the fold for some time now, we are happy to present her mix for your listening pleasure. Clocking in at just under 2 hours long, Roni is able to begin her trip with a smooth selection of 90’s dreamy house jams before peppering more underground sounds around the decks. Like the guests she welcomes on a regular basis Roni quickly moves through the gears and even drops back a few in order to take off in a different direction. This mix is definitely one for the diggers with an ear for 90’s house and techno, you won't be disappointed.

It is time for our 18th episode of the podcast-series and we’re thrilled to have Ian F., a Slovenian DJ and producer with over two decades of experience in the electronic music scene.

Known for his deep and warm grooves, Ian’s journey began with early influences like The Prodigy, Plastikman, and Detroit techno. His big break came with the launch of the Jesus Loved You label alongside Valentino Kanzyani, shaping Slovenia’s electronic sound. His residency at Ambasada Gavioli introduced him to a diverse range of international acts, while his 10-year Ibiza stint further solidified his reputation. In 2018, Ian co-founded LuckIsOn, promoting music that blends Detroit-inspired melancholy with hypnotic grooves. His ventures, including Jesus Loved You and Colours in Music, serve as platforms for both emerging talent and community building, making Ian a key figure in the underground music scene.

Before the Voice explores the moment before identity exists.

This album follows consciousness prior to language, belief, memory, or self.
There is no character and no story in the familiar sense.
Each track traces a gradual shift from pure awareness into sensation, repetition, distinction, movement, memory, desire, inner sound, and finally place.

The music unfolds slowly, built on ritual folk elements, deep frame drums, downtuned acoustic guitar, and low male vocals carried through wide natural reverb. The sound is grounded, ancient, and restrained, allowing space to become part of the composition.

Rather than depicting awakening, Before the Voice focuses on formation.
How awareness learns weight.
How repetition becomes memory.
How movement gains direction.
How sound turns inward and becomes voice.
How the field of experience narrows into “here.”

The album ends before identity fully forms.
Before language locks meaning in place.
