Discos Marcianos is pleased to present the first release of the label brought by local Barcelona DJ and producer Guim. 
Over the last few years, Guim has been at the forefront of the Garage movement in Barcelona after residing in London and finding inspiration there to share a type of sound that is rarely found in Spain. He’s part of the Mainline collective, a troupe of DJs and producers known for their humorous, irreverent and overall unique style that breaks both rules and dancefloors at the same time all around the Iberian Peninsula.

''Late Night Jams'' is full of gems for all tastes: a combination of 2-Step, UKG with plenty of beautifully sculpted synths, dense basslines, drum breaks and wild rapping, in the case of the EP’s single: 3 Am featuring Highkili. 

“Hot Stepper” is the closing track of the EP. A more laid-back Garage House with a deep sub and groovy drums that will keep your feet moving while taking your mind to the skies.

Discos Marcianos is a record store located in Poblenou, Barcelona which serves as a hub to constantly reunite and promote local talent.

It’s always interesting to see how people are evolving over time. I had already told you the story of AC130 (or, more recently Yaroslav M), who first appeared at the local parties as a “video guy” and then landed on Griffe, Lonewolf and some other labels. Today’s story is about another character from our local scene in Lviv, Ukraine. Vitya Payal’nik, because of his signature moves, is one of the most recognizable dancers at almost any good party in the city. I was later told that he had a solid musical background (in rock music), but usually, he was just a dancer. Matt Wills entered the scene January last year with his debut release 'Time Piece(CT001)' on Comma Traxx. Grabbing support from the likes of Archie Hamilton, Janeret and Harrison BDP, he proved he was one to watch in 2019. 

Keeping the ball rolling in style, he released various Lofi and Minimal tracks over the year with support from many more limelight artists and various music channels such as Houseum and Slav.

After an impressive year, Matt has proven he is ready to dust off his laptop for 2020 and provide us with a heavy 2stepper with many hardcore influences.
