This is the last recording of Ned Erland and his Bigmoney Band. After the session he went to his cheap hotel room and died. Alone. 
His death became clear after a few days, because he kept failing his Apgar-Test. In general he lacked most vital signs. 
On this last recording you can hear he knew his end was near. Obviously  this is reflected by the sad melody. At least that is what know Jazz connoisseur Jordan Azz wrote in his famous article "Disconnecting  Ned Erland."

In dit allegorische Fantasy hoorspel maken we mee hoe Feut op zijn eerste reis aan boord van vissersboot De Kroll de gevolgen ondervind van bijvangst. In het onvermijdelijke ontgroeningsritueel speelt een zeemeermin een dubieuze rol. Het zal fataal voor Feut aflopen. Hoe pakken de andere scheepsmaten dit noodlottige voorval op? Wat betekent deze reis uiteindelijk voor de visserij, de handel en het voortbestaan van de zeemeerminnen? Zeemeermin in Tomatensaus is een verhaal van Allard Krijger, de karakters worden vertolkt door Hajo Krijger.
