This is an EP that stemmed from a random suggestion from someone at work to add trap music to a song from Ecco: The Dolphin. Thought it would be a fun challenge to make an EP with a few game tracks in styles you normally don't see. It's probably the hardest project I've done so far since trying to keep the tracks somewhat cohesive and also make the art for all of it was pretty tough.

@deerwolf linked me to this remix contest about a month ago, but there was no way in hell I was going to finish it in 2-3 days or whatever the deadline was...so I spent the month on it instead :P

Last track of 2021 is another old project that I finally got around to finishing. Hope you like some gritty 6/8 bass music! :) Also Killua is a badass and you should watch Hunter X Hunter if you haven't :P

Zoldyck

This is definitely my favorite track I've made so far. I love me some wave and I feel like I really captured the feel of it in this one. Randomly stumbled on this song by Spiritbox and knew immediately what to do with it. The vocals just work so well with this genre. It's so pretty ;___;

This was a bit of a strange experiment. Every time I worked on this track I was always drunk. Sometimes more drunk, sometimes less drunk, but I was always drinking XD I'm very much a happy drunk myself so I guess this kind of embodies my mood while drinking. Just enjoy your drinks and have fun :)

The Happy Drunk

This is the last track I have in my backlog from before I moved to Sweden. Going back to the heavier side of things with lots of bass in yo face >:) Some dark DnB with a bit of jump up in the ending for good measure.

Got even more heavy stuff incoming over the next few months :D

Saw Me In Half

Stumbled upon a random youtube tutorial about making music in the style of Subtronics and this is the result of lots of tinkering based on that video :) Definitely up there as one of the best tracks I've made. Really enjoyed making it and listening to it. That second drop is a real face scruncher for sure >:)

EDIT: Shit, a last minute change threw off a lot of the second drop...Reuploaded and fixed. That's why you always relisten to the whole track after changing something :P herpderp

The Perfect Party Plan

Even though this is using mostly samples from the Chime & Ace Aura sample pack I tried to put a lot of myself into it. Has some interesting story telling and a really HEAVY second drop so definitely prepare yourself for that :P Overall really enjoy where this one ended up. It's a bop.

Test Flight

Messed around with a bunch of colour bass samples and made some glitchy fun music with a lot of stereo variation that sounded fun to me. I really like the vibe of this one. It also has a damn good beat :) Definitely recommend listening to this with a good pair of headphones. It may not follow the standard music formula, but it's a vibe nonetheless. Sometimes all you need is a good drop.

This is definitely the most ambitious track I've made. I've restarted this one 3 times over the past three years because I couldn't get it to sound right and I just didn't have the skills to make it sound good. This is my love letter to EDF...a stupid, cheesy game that is way more fun than it should be and has one hell of a banger for the lobby music.

This is my last track of the year, and it's a doozy. A 5 minute epic spanning multiple genres with a loose story about some EDF rangers that just want to make some steak but then get invaded by giant monsters and must do what they do best: save our mother Earth from any alien attack.

Remix of Time Travel from the Ecco The Dolphin game. This is the one that spawned this whole EP idea (thanks Rory). The original ask was to "throw a trap beat on it" and this is the result :P Not entirely sure it still counts as trap as this point, but it's fun nonetheless.

I asked some friends for ideas of other songs to remix for this EP, and this one was suggested by Brian, along with a few others. Didn't really get anywhere with the rest, but this one turned into a really nice downtempo banger so I stuck with it. Struggled really hard to get a good mix though. I hope It's good enough for people to enjoy it :)

Also featuring Egoraptor from the MegaMan sequelitis from forever ago since I've always been a huge fan. I watch way too much Game Grumps so this was inevitable :P

Tried really hard to force myself to use less layers on this one and try to make more vibey DnB loops. I think it turned out pretty damn good and hit the mark for what I was going for. Lots of long looping sections that you can just jam and vibe to.

Lethal Lava Land (From "Super Mario 64")

This was supposed to be the 4th track on my recent EP but I could not for the life of me figure out what to do with it at the time. Lo and behold, one drunken night I found the perfect sample and then it spiraled out into this full track :) Music production is just like that sometimes. Had a lot of fun making this one. Even though it's pretty simple it's a lot of fun.

This is also my first licensed track! :D You can find it on all major platforms.

This is my final track for the year! I've got another EP in the works that is all original tracks and I'm going to be focusing on it for the next couple of months. Hopefully can finalize and release it sometime early 2024.

P.I.Z.Z.A.

One very drunk night after the new year, this song suddenly appeared. It is the year of the derg n bass after all. This is a bit of an intermission track while I keep working on the EP. It's getting really close to being done! :) Happy new year.

Started with the beatbox sample and went on a wild ride that led to a happy place ^^ Some uplifting colour bass to ring in the Spring weather. Finally getting some Vitamin D that doesn't require pills every day, thank fucking god.

This was a random idea I had while on the toilet. I keep hearing remixes of Blue, but nobody ever remixes anything else by Eiffel 65. Have always loved this song since I was young so it seemed like the perfect choice. Turned out pretty good :)
