01: Panda Drey

U.K. based artist Kamzuqi is a music man through and through. His family raised him on reggae, garage and jungle from the early 2000’s and the passion for underground bass music is a part of his DNA at this point 🧬

He co-founded the Manchester based @solitude.mcr who, since lockdown, have been an influential label in the UKG scene and beyond. SOLITUDE have thrown sell-out shows, a long standing guest mix series with some of the biggest names in bass, as well as a new string of releases, moving them into record label territory (this also means Kam has access to a bunch of hard to find, unreleased music) 👀

Kam is a confident music journalist having studied it at Uni whilst learning to mix. He’s now making progress with his DJ sets and building his skills with his own productions and edits. His recent shows include a set at @coalesce_festival in Wales and joining the @warpedevents crew in Manchester for their weekly Wednesday takeovers at XLR.

A dynamic and electrifying artist who thrives on the energy of live performances. With a magnetic presence and a passion for drum and bass, Elicit is a force to be reckoned with.

Hailing from Roscommon, Elissa has been immersed in the world of music from a young age. Her journey as an artist began on stage singing and dancing at musicals and has since evolved to include dancing for the wonderful music group PrYmary Colours and DJing as Elicit. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Enei, Bou, and Ben Snow, Elicit is on a mission to unleash only the filthiest and most exhilarating tunes to her audience.

Elicit continues to push herself to take on new and exciting challenges such as playing livestreams on Manchester's Bloc2Bloc and playing live at Open Deck sessions in Dublin.

A Sub Culture are a Cork based collective who specialise in all things D&B, Neurofunk, Jungle, Breaks and Bassline. They are a crew made up of both DJ’s & MC’s and are known for their wild club nights throughout Cork!
On this month’s instalment of the show, we have one of the collective’s residents Steam Lite representing the collective.

Introducing Steam Lite, a Drum and Bass maestro igniting dance floors since 2014. Inspired by hip-hop, he blends genres from breaks to Neurofunk, Jungle, and Liquid D&B. 05: A Sub Culture

Caolac 25, who goes under the DJ name K-LØCK, hails from Duleek Meath.

K-LØCK first started his journey with DJing as a “bedroom DJ” with help from friends & self-teaching during lockdown, K-LØCK has been gigging around the north-east with collectives such as @reboot_events , @mood.drogheda & @auroraevents ever since.

K-LØCK try’s to have a different perspective on DJing, with quick transitions, use of effects & chopping in and out of tracks! K-LØCK’s first love within dance music was house & UKG! Now he loves everything dance, from trance to hardgroove, techno to speedy G he tries to keep each set different from the last.

Fast forward to now, K-LØCK has supported a number of big names in the industry such as: PARTIBOI69, Alan Fitzpatrick, Ben Hemsley, I Hate Models & BLK. to name a few.

PRONTO is a DJ and producer based out of Dublin, specialising in techno and D&B and is also the cofounder of @alienatedublin.
Alienate is a Dublin based collective, running techno and D&B nights along with livestreams. Make sure to check out their page for future events and streams from the spaceship 👽🛸

Nebulah is a D&B DJ originally from France and now based in Dublin. She has played in many clubs throughout Ireland and also festivals such as Fuinneamh and Electric Picnic.

Dalba (GAEILGE: noun; adjective); Bold, Naughty, Impish

A DJ for the dancers, Dalba is the alter ego to Ireland’s music fairy, Anima. While you can expect to hear all and any good music from Anima on the Irish airwaves between Dublin and Belfast, expect only heavy, hard and hectic beats from Dalba.

She likes it speedy, cheeky, filthy; anything from Ghetto-Tech, Hard Groove and Electro to DnB, Garage and Jungle. As she’s not one for following rules, don’t expect her to stick to any one genre or style.

18: MICK

MICK is a Dublin-based DJ and member of Choki Biki Records. Refusing to be pigeon-holed to one genre, he aims to deliver varied, entertaining sets with selections from across the dance music spectrum.

MICK’s style is heavily influenced by all forms of UKG, breaks, electro and 140. He is also comfortable playing anything from Italo to acid, techno, juke, footwork or jungle in his sets. Irregular drum patterns, atmospheric synths, wonky baselines and sampled vocals are common themes across many of his selections.

A regular on Dublin’s dancefloors, MICK has been found at The Sound House, Hyne’s Bar, Cellar Club, Bow Lane, Centre Point, Dashi & The Sugar Club. Further afield he has played iconic venues such as The Crown in Bristol, The Flying Duck in Glasgow and Kable Manchester.

MICK made his debut on the Irish Festival circuit this year, with sets at Macalla festival & Fuinneamh. He also holds monthly residencies on London’s Subtle Radio as well as Dublin Digital Radio along with the rest of the Choki Biki crew. If one thing is for certain, it’s that MICK always brings his A-game in terms of mixing and track selection.

Introducing two pillars in the scene…Panda Drey & Conkan. Not much introduction needed for these, the two local musical elements that make up ‘I2S’ and the dons who have recently had an amazing year with Outstraight Records.
These lads have an energy that make them so recognisable in their mixing and productions, watching these is like never seen before symbiosis as they flow through liquid jungle rollers into heavy hitting finishers.

Originally from South London, the birthplace of drum & bass, Charlie White’s musical journey was ignited by the raw energy of pirate radio stations like Wax FM and Rinse. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion, shaping his unique and energetic approach to the genre.

Starting at just 12 years old, Charlie began experimenting with production tools like Fruity Loops and Reason, later progressing to hardware like the Korg EMX. These formative years gave him a deep understanding of sound design and production techniques that define his music today. JONNIE is a drum and bass DJ since 2008, originally from Ukraine, and moved to Dublin in 2016.
He has organised over 70 dnb events in Kherson, Ukraine from 2008 to 2016.
In 2023 JONNIE founded Stage73 dnb crew in Dublin. Since then @stage73.ie organized several events with the focus on mainstream, jump up and liquidfunk dnb and brought a few big names to Dublin:

Acushla is a Dublin based DJ whose grá for club culture and electronic music was forged from her first experiences clubbing in Dublin City and attending music festivals. Since breaking into the scene a year and a half ago she’s played for many local collectives such as Lost, Slither, the Lounge, Gash Collective and the Shed Residents, supporting a number of talented DJs such as Skin on Skin, Mischluft, Bashkaa and Dj Fuckoff to name a few. “Acushla” is an abbreviation of the Irish phrase “a chuisle mo chroí”, a term of endearment referring to something you live for … what makes your heartbeat. A sentiment that reflects perfectly why she started deejaying. Acushla’s sound (like most DJs) is always changing, but mainly focused on ghetto tech, electro, footwork/juke, hard groove, bass, and acid.

Eskay is a DJ, producer, and radio host from Dublin bringing high-energy, genre-blending sets to dancefloors across the city. Since starting out in late 2022, she’s played alongside top Irish talent at some of Dublin’s best venues, delivering a signature mix of house, breaks, tech, deep, and melodic grooves—all with a focus on bouncy, feel-good vibes.

She’s a founding member of THC DJs, co-running the acclaimed Total House Clinic and Blaze parties, and hosts a weekly show on PlayFM Dublin every Tuesday at 6pm, where she champions underground artists and DJs—recently celebrating her 80th broadcast.

Now stepping into her own as a producer, Eskay has already signed tracks to established labels and shows no signs of slowing down

Intervention is a novice to the decks who started DJing in November 2023. He took to them like a natural under the tutelage of the THC crew and is quickly becoming a multi-genre DJ with a love of a good aul hook and meddling with the FX. One of the newer members of THC DJs, Intervention is finding his sound and producing sets that are a mix of funky, jackin house, ukg, and Hard House

C.S. Lewis is a Dublin-based DJ who began his journey behind the decks in 2017. Known for his emotive and genre-spanning sets, he brings energy, feeling, and a deep connection to the music every time he plays.

He has performed at venues such as The Wright Venue, Tengu, Lost Lane, Berlin D2, Button Factory, Pawnshop, and Rio in Ibiza.
C.S. Lewis also has festival appearances at Electric Picnic and Fuinneamh.

2step.png is a Dublin-based designer turned bass music DJ. Long nights spent designing in the Choki Biki Records factory shaped his musical identity, as the dark undertones of UKG, breaks, and jungle became the foundation of his sound when he first took to the decks in early 2021.
Fast-forward a few years, and 2step.png has carved out a name for himself, adding to his résumé an impressive roster of support acts, including Borai, Mixtress, Tãn, Prozak, and Soul Mass Transit System. His sets are a genre-blending kaleidoscope of high-energy breakbeats and dark, speedy basslines. Audiences can expect a journey from early UKG to Baile Funk and jungle, as 2step.png delivers a head-spinning masterclass in track selection and mixing.
The selector has played in some of Dublin’s most iconic venues, including WigWam, Tengu, Bow Lane, and Racket Space, and more recently, has expanded his reach to venues like Kable Club in Manchester and The Crown in Bristol. This year was a stand out year with two festival appearances, Macalla Festival and Fuinneamh Festival.
As a member of the Choki Biki Records crew, he regularly hosts shows on Dublin Digital Radio and Subtle Radio. He's also a co-founder of Dublin’s newest collective, AMPM, dedicated to cultivating a community centered around UKG and bass music through events and workshops.

FARO-P is a community organiser, musician and broadcaster from Dublin. He is a founder of the Community Action Tenant’s Union (CATU), a member of Dublin Digital Radio (ddr) and a lover of all things community and creative. His art praxis is currently focused on Hip-Hop, with a specific focus on composition, writing and broadcasting. He aspires to use his critical, musical and broadcasting skills to educate and abet diverse communities in expressing their voice, as epitomised through his work with local youth theatres, Profiles, Young ddr, Prosper Fingal and more.

Melodic Techno/Deep House mix for the Pirate Studios No Vocals challenge.

I've always found melodic techno to be a nice mix of both attitude and ambiance, so for a challenge that allowed no vocals it seemed like the perfect genre to base the mix off of. 

I really enjoyed putting this together and learned a lot in the process.
