September’s edition is here and on this episode I am extremely grateful to welcome, Bulgarian artist Ruben Ganev onto the show.

Ruben first caught my attention with his incredible self release on his own Mould Audio imprint. Since he has continued to present his sound in a way that’s unique and outstanding to say the least. 

Based on Sofia, Bulgaria where he also hold his “СКИТНИК” events alongside fellow artists from his scene. Speaking with Ruben tonight we find out more about his musical background and how he structures his workflow in the studio. Plus a little insight into the next release on his label which is a LP from the man himself.

The end of a turbulent 2021 is closing in. To close off the year, we’re back with the second December Series. This year’s December Series is about talent from home soil. It will be a mix of new faces and artists who’ve developed themselves since their previous FrenzyPodcast.

The artist who will kick off the December Series is Delano Legito. The man behind Eindhoven’s De Missie became a regular face in the (Dutch) scene over the year, with both his mixes and productions. Delano aims to find the sweet spot of the darker spheres and groove in the sets he plays.

For FrenzyPodcast #105, Delano created a one-and-half journey in which he wants to tell a story. “I believe sets have their ups and downs. Sets can be split up in different phases, which makes it exciting as clubber to listen throughout the whole set. If you have a down moment, you can work towards a peak that remains in your memory for a long tome. Owner of a personal and completely distinctive sound, Marcelo Antonio’s mental interpretation places hypnotism as the main point of attention used in constructing his journey. Focused on the tangent between constant rhythm and breaking lows, he’s searching to find through dance, the equilibrium between body and soul, a state of mind focused in what's happening in the moment of listening, an invitation to be present.

His work has been released by some of the most forward thinking hypnotic techno labels, such as Float Records, Platform22 & Methodical. He has also self released on his own digital imprint, Out of Sight, exclusively via Bandcamp.

His productions have drawn support from some of the most esteemed names in the genre such as Takaaki Itoh, DVS1, Marcel Fengler, Rene Wise, Arthur Robert, TWR72, Border One and more.

Parisian – Benales has been honing his skills since the end of the 90s with impeccable taste and steady determination. As an avid record collector, vinyl only DJ and enthusiast of Techno and House – his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. His talent allows him to put himself in many clubs in Europe like Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Georgia)... but also as a regular guest of Concrete when it’s not rare to find Benales surrounded by guest of solid reputation like DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. Fascinated by Techno and coldness of electronic music, he released some EP’s and remixes on Sino (Technasia Label), and notably “Elements part 1 & part 2” have marked his spot in the international scene. Over the years, he had several releases on outstanding labels like KEY Vinyl, Suburban Avenue, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality and many more to follow.
