The 50th instalment of our FWP Series is provided by Decoder, an upcoming DJ and producer hailing from Texas. 

Decoder is the owner and co-founder of both Codec Recorings, and the ESP Collective. 

Known for his dark and groovy hypnotic loops, Decoder is already becoming a staple artist in tracklists across the genre. With support from the likes of Matrixxman, Decoder has had releases on labels such as Maloer Records and Niram Records alongside a collection of his own self released productions. 

Decoder has upcoming EPs on Antiterra, Corpus Black, Influenced Records, and Hemisferio.

Techno has been, almost since its inception, an excellent soundtrack for spatial exploration, as experimenting and having no boundaries in creation are key to start the trip. In Sonde Spaziali, Evod, fully aware of techno’s potential, recreates all the complex emotions kept into the challenge  of  reaching  space,  being able to bring us back to Earth to share and spread the discoveries, fully dance floor compatible. A:  " Two clubs share that title. The first one is Under Bron(@underbron) in Stockholm, where I hold my residency. Under Bron has given me a platform to push my boundaries and given me the experience of playing at all the different stages throughout a party. I have learnt so much there and am forever grateful for that. Secondly, the MESS (@messberlin)parties at OHM in Berlin. This party aligns so well with the concept of a perfect party; diverse selection of people, open mindedness, friendly and positive energy. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about how insane the parties will be once things open back up."

As a teenager, he discovered electronic music through underground parties, nurturing a passion for techno that has only grown over the years. Inspired by the dirty rawness of old school techno and the hypnotic vibes of more contemporary tracks, Nicolas Vogler decided to pursue his newfound passion by DJing at small events in his hometown.

Today, he is a producer, gaining renown through his own personal label NCLS as well as through recent releases on groove-focused techno labels such as Syxt Berlin, Drawner records and the Spanish label Hemisferio. Played by techno DJs worldwide, Nicolas’ tracks can be found in mixes by notable artists such as Setaoc Mass, Arkan, Insolate, Temudo, and many others.
