Next up on Marcel Vogel’s vital Lumberjacks In Hell imprint comes quite possibly one of the strongest tracks I’ve heard on the label - and Lumberjacks have had some beauties. The future classic, soulful house groove of  ‘Real Love’ is by Antipodean producer Jerkboy, Dutch label head Marvel Vogel and the delightfully inspiring French vocalist Million Miles.
 
This global project was first planted as a seed by Marcel in Amsterdam, transmitted across half the world to Sydney, Australia to be further nourished by Jerkboy aka Adam Stivala, getting finished off in Los Angeles by French singer Million Miles, eventually making its way to London to get a fully grown remix by Oliver Night. The full fat production and layered vocals will make for one chunky, deep and soulful house groove for the dancers. The original version touching on classic disco and vocal house, while London vibemaster Oliver Night takes his remixes into deeper house and broken territory.

Fresh from dropping a fine stream of loopy filter house fun on their own Jolene Records, The Parton Brothers fire up the dancefloor with their sizzling debut on Pomme Frite and channels classic French touch vibes with style. Danny & Mike deliver cuts that could have easily slipped out of the Roule camp in the late 90s here with tracks like 'Extraball,' 'Gemini,' 'Luniz' and 'The World Without You' packed with crunchy disco loops, rich filter-funk and irresistible groove. It's a tribute to that beloved French house sound we all know and love - warm, raw and homemade with love. A must for vintage deep house heads.

'Italo Mystery Theme' is a brilliant timewarp to the 80s with its overtly streamy and seductive vocals over neat guitars and stepping disco drums with lush chords. 'After Dark' is more breezy and hip-swinging with its airy vocals and wet claps, then 'Sugar Daddy Again' brings rugged analogue bass sounds and snappy drums under some erotic vocal work. 'All Right' shuts down with a UK street soul-cum-disco groover that's lit up with nice neon chords.
