Berlin's Dompe offers up a hazy and hypnotic take on the original that grows into a stomping groove built from tight, truncated loops and a thick, bolstered low-end. Long, swooning breakdowns form misty stop-gaps that slap back with reliable power making it a perfect warm up tune for DJs looking to stack tension in those excitable early hours.

Parla rounds off the package with a neat, functional Hi NRG Disco edit propelled by a ripe, muscular kick. The fun and vibrancy of the original is certainly upheld but just distilled a tad as filters and delays have the melodies swirling just out of focus allowing the drums to drive the track. Another fervent breakdown stretches out before a full-force drop lands it right in the sweaty centre of a brimful floor.

Daniel W. Best first heard Louis Baker, a New Zealand-based soul singer, perform "Keep On" as the opening act for Fat Freddy's Drop at the Tempodrom in Berlin in 2024. He knew he wanted to create a remix package of the song. His label partner, Andre Lodemann, was also impressed when he heard the track, so he did a remix himself. DJ Philippa and Hollis P. Monroe also delivered amazing remixes. There is something for everyone here. Louis Baker is one of New Zealand’s most compelling voices in modern soul. Lumberjacks In Hell bossman Marcel Vogel and Seanmont collaborate to deliver a heavy hitting, foot friendly remix of What’s Going On; BBC 6 Music’s Jamz Supernova and partner Sam Interface come through with some serious bass pressure on their version of Shikor Shikor; Razor’n’Tape’s JKriv provides a steady and sophisticated, breakbeat influenced club re-fix of Stefania; and London based DJ, producer and engineer Edward Upton, better known as DMX Krew, tackles We Taya
with aplomb and comes up with a life affirming Afro-disco/house monster replete with sparkling guitars and keys.

Elsewhere, competition winners Davin Varda & Buscadora turn out a vibrant and dramatic version of On Da Fone; Maxxi Soundsystem produce a haunting re-work of Mo Ni Fere; and South African producer Esa comes up with a similarly dark and percussive take of Voodoo Zeze which
hits all the right notes for the late night dance floor.

On the more eclectic, laid back tip, Greg Surmacz AKA Captain Over creates a typically fractured and wonky re-jig of Babe Moo; label mates Lawne add their own trademark drums, guitar and FX to Ano Be Mumu to create something very special; and finally, newcomer Motion Kin rounds things off with an atmospheric, synth heavy remix of Eno Be Me.

Brazilian DJ, vinyl digger, party starter, and style icon Martha Pinel has officially joined the Toy Tonics family.
Based between Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, Martha is the founder of Assembleia, a laid-back Rio party that’s become a Carnival sensation. She also co-founded Croma, a project fusing music and fashion that helped shape Rio’s alt-scene. Featured on the cover of GQ Brazil, she was named one of “13 artists changing the world.”
Her dynamic, non-linear DJ sets blend Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Middle Eastern grooves, Italo, disco, house, and Balearic sounds - with a bold, emotional touch. She’s performed at Boiler Room, Paris Fashion Week, KALA Festival, DGTL, and more, alongside names like Hunee, Antal, and Prins Thomas.
Martha Pinel’s debut EP, Real Rio, was born during a moment of rediscovery in her hometown, Rio de Janeiro, after spending a long time abroad.
