Basement (ft. Badjo)

This is my mix of Air Traffic for the PWYM (Play With Your Music) online course. The mix has been made to emphasize the dynamics of the tracks and making sure the beat and bass are quite present. The vocal tracks have been layered at some places to widen the stereo field as well. Some subtle effects have been added to some of the other instruments. I kept it simple because I feel that the original intent of this song is to be easy to listen to and should still be easily performable on a live stage.

I was surprised that the original track uses almost no effects at all as when i listened to the dry tracks, it was as if the track was already mixed. The recording engineer did a great job.

This remix has been made for the Play With Your Music Online Course. I'm aware that some parts of the track sound a little bit "off". But this has been made with Soundation and apparently, once you load many new channels, it becomes unstable and hard to work with... So, nearing the end, I just stopped working on it, leaving a track which is not perfect, but what is ? :) Let me know what you think, though !

If you heard the previous version, some things were "off". I decided to properly finalize the track and make it more "whole".
I'm positive some stuff could still be improved but i have the feeling the track has a real ending now.

This track was made one year ago. I believe this track lacks some deep bass but i'm happy about the recording. I find them quite clear sounding. I think i did a nice job with the compression. Let me know what you think !
