Ambient Infusion

This ambient set I recorded to go along with a class I was teaching together with a friend of mine. The idea of the class was that everybody was blindfolded and therefore would dive deeper into connecting with their body, breath, movement etc. I chose to go for this very calming music to help the mind concentrate and to calm the nerves as “feeling blind” and connecting more with yourself can be quite exciting. 

This class is designed for 90min, including savasana. The last 10mins are just a continuation of the meditivative sounds. Could also be used for an extended 120min class leaving enough time for talks, breaks for demonstrations , pranayama.

This set I played along my dear teacher and good friend Nicole Bongartz, whilst she was teaching her class „Crunchless Core“. The downbeat, tribal drum turned this core class into a very powerful one. Whether you use this to teach/practice a deep, focused, strengthening class or a smooth, relaxing flow it will surely serve both. It includes a solar plexus chakra (manipura chakra) meditation sound for the last 7min.

The Opening event of the Yoga Conference is always very special and clearly a class of celebration to welcome all the students, teachers and to kick of into the fantastic weekend. Therefor its generally quite uplifting and since it normally an approx. 60min class, moves pretty quickly into warriors and standing positions, leading up to a peak point at around 45min, before going back to the ground with more subtle, beatless sounds and finishing of with savasana. The music is designed to serve this structure. 

Special notice: This music in these opening ceremonies tends to build up quicker as the class is shorter but also the time on the floor at the end is a little longer then usual.

I had the pleasure of playing a sunrise set at the legendary PlayAlchemist - also known as the The Pyramid. The set turned out differently than expected, as everybody left the pyramid about 60min into the set to watch the actual sunrise happen. Can't blame nobody for that! I would have done the same. So its shorter and with a different dynamic than what I had in mind for the planned 90min. It was still so special to play in this amazing space!
