The book "From Inmate To Mayor" is now being shot as a feature film!  Before becoming the Mayor of Marshville, North Carolina Frank Deese served 10 years for armed robbery.  Typically after being released; most inmates return to prison within 5 years because of income limitations, supporting children and lack of education. Frank Deese started a tax business when released, wrote his book and ran for Mayor winning 75% of the vote. Today he's giving back to the very community he committed his crimes in. Mayor Franklin Deese is on his 5th term as Mayor of Marshville and speaks to groups about reducing recidivism rates in the U.S. Presently, "From Inmate To Mayor" is being filmed and directed by Tommy Ford - who played the best friend of Martin Lawrence on the hit show - "Martin".   The younger Frank Deese is being played by Jermel Howard - from "Orange Is The New Black" on Netflix.
