The 9th of May I celebrated #Europeday2022 together with Culture Action Europe and their project #AmplifyInAction. Europe day is a day that usually celebrates peace and unity in Europe, which this year due to Putin’s war on Ukraine is at stake. 

It was a day full of interesting and important perspectives, discussions about what role art and media has and can have on the feeling of comprehension between us, art as a way of taking action in times of turmoil and what we culture workers, activists and community leaders want to say to decision makers across Europe. 

Thank you to the great speakers, I'm so impressed and inspired by your force, and grateful to have heard all your stories and perspectives. I’m happy to contribute to the discussion about Europe's future with this song, which also is a summary and my interpretation of the messages that were sent from attending speakers during the event on the 9th of May. This composition includes an excerpt of soundbites from the event.

Deriving from folk music, RnB and pop in combination with her home region Västerbotten's strong oral storytelling culture, Francesca Vincentie approaches universal themes with a personal expression.
