"Launched last summer, Blackchild’s NAIMA imprint is a label that not only adds to his growing trajectory as an artist but provides a home for the Italian to experiment with productions close to his heart. Showcasing the wider-reaching influences and sounds of his growing style that span beyond traditional electronic territories, the project offers a fresh musical outlook alongside his more dancefloor-driven productions. Having linked with world-renowned Jazz singer Walter Ricci for the label’s debut release ‘Head On My Shoulder’ and then returning with the slick sonics of ‘The 10th Victim’, he now invites his first guests to the label for a special four-track VA, ‘Jazz Island’ - welcoming Solarce Brothers, Shokë, Leon Gennaro and Skygroover. “This is the first time we introduce new artists’ music on NAIMA! After months of searching for the right tracks to release, I have finally put together four songs with a connection among them - jazz, funk and the real essence of NAIMA... something that other labels would potentially never release. ‘Cerca’ brings a massive groove with a jazzy touch from the Solarce Brothers from Brazil, while ‘Lifestyle’ from my favourites Shöke is pure Neapolitan funk. ‘Driftwood’ from Leo shows that classy swag from the Florida coast, and last but not least, ‘Vela’ from Skygroover gives that touch of sweetness to the EP. Blue Train’ is created by Piero and is the second release from the newly formed label, My Cup Of Tea. Piero, who is also the label owner, gives us four tracks of deep house that blend jazzier notes along with seductive grooves. The title track is an upbeat, pumping late-night gem that blends some vocals along with a smooth saxophone sample, ‘Nikes On My Feet’ adds a cool broken-beat rhythm to the mixture while still being pretty darn techy and funky and we love the use of the acid line that balances out the jazz sounds. For the B-side you have original version of ‘International Language’ along with a remix of it by Carlo (Carlos Alvarez). You can’t go wrong with either version as a DJ. My Cup Of Tea is off to a strong start for sure

With a decade plus in the game and releases on Rhythm section International, Dirt Crew, Kitsuné and Scissor &amp; Thread, Hidden Spheres has cranked up the pressure recently with a steady stream of extremely classy 12's on his own Fruit Merchant label. Along the way he has built a rock solid following and earned some very well deserved hype.

Having just chalked off an extensive tour of the North America he is now back with an exquisite collaboration with the wonderful Private Joy.
