Previously released on Soma Records with the track Death & Rebirth for Collective Process VA Vol. 3, 3SBAT returns to Soma with their own EP — Draconic Cycle — a full-on hard industrial techno journey.

Draconic Cycle takes inspiration from Draconian Magic; a Left-Hand Path magical tradition in which mythological dragons and serpents represent its core components —darkness, chaos, or the harsh forces of nature. Draconic energy is a powerful force that can also materialise in the human body, where it takes the shape of the serpent Kundalini. This fire energy, when awoken, gifts humans the potential for growth and transformation. 
 
3SBAT's sound — a blend of distorted kicks, industrial soundscapes, noise hats, broken beats, EBM synths, dark atmospheres, and percussive drums — aims to recreate this draconian energy. 
 
Draconic Cycle is the track that lends its name to the EP, followed by Lucid Dream; a lucid nightmare where distorted voices haunt a desolate industrial site. The Angel of The Abyss ends the cycle with elements of broken beats and a reference to Abaddon — the Angel of the Bottomless Pit; the Destroyer — where distorted patterns culminate in an ultimate point of destruction that no longer serves our conscious minds.

To complete the release there are three murderous remixes of the track Draconic Cycle by Krista Bourgeois, Ayako Mori, and Vertex Form — winners of the remix competition run by 23by23. The latter is a campaign by Sydney Blu and Rebekah aiming to increase the percentage of female / non-binary / trans and gender non-conforming producers in the music industry to 23% or higher by the end of 2023.

Musician, producer and resident DJ of parisian collective Monarch, Substencia 
is active in the electronic scene since many years by getting involved in labels, 
webzines and events organization. As a teenager in the 90Õs, she grew up with 
raves and hardcore sounds while playing acoustic instruments and became a 
real melomaniac. 
After listening and ingesting a lot of music, she has been producing since 2017 
and released tracks and remixes for several labels as @instinktrecords, @coupprojekt, @subvertedscene, @durchparty, @dvntt, Unusual, and recently @kallkallan where she released 
her third EP. Her music is midway between industrial techno collages and sort 
of emotional doom atmospheres, her tracks are regularly played by @ancient-methods, @kenny_campbell, @cassie_raptor 
As a DJ she is known for her intense and cinematographic mixes, with a very 
personal approach to music thanks to her influences in various styles : pure 
industrial music, dark ambient, UK old school techno or even baroque music.

PODCAST: Series 3 [TMFP026] - SUBSTENCIA

Co-founder and resident at the London party MASS, French DJ and producer Cathédral is an artisan of the galloping grooves, old-school rave vocals, and percussions. Coming from a classical music education playing the saxophone and the clarinet, he moved progressively to jazz and today electronic music. Rich of this background he promotes diversity in his sets, blending 90s Rave and house influences with industrial grooves. After playing in Paris and around the British capital he launched LABURNŪM Records in the middle of the pandemic to promote emerging artists from London and beyond that defend the same fast and four-to-the-floor rave sound. He’s released on Expel Your Demons, Omen Recordings and his own imprints MASS and LABURNŪM.

Küetzal is known as one of the founders of the London-based label Sticky Ground and resident DJ for one of Italy's most prominent techno events, Genau Turin.
Besides his own imprint releases, he published music on Gomboc Records, Taro Record, Askorn Records, and others while self-releasing two independently distributed EPs and singles that generated tens of thousands of streams while gaining the likes and support of institutions in the techno scene such as Perc and prominent artists like I Hate Models.
His production space is beyond unpredictable and features much of his past as a classical pianist and rock guitarist, as well as his studies as a sound designer and music tech developer.
All this is blended - with often different or opposite approaches - with groovy and powerful techno influences.
He hosts a monthly 2hrs radio show on Fnoob Radio where he regularly showcases his djing skills.
