Gorgeous on each instrument.. fine changes and melodies. I really like it!

For a more dense rhythm section I needed agility on bass line so this time, instead of the double bass, I chose to use my old dear electric bass, an old Cort that's been with me since high school. I haven’t played it for a long time, it’s been fun, I think I will do it again soon.
About the picture: actually the place of the photo is not a station or an airport, it is part of a photographic work I made some years ago on the concept of non-place like the big malls. But a non-place is also, some way, an all-places, every places from which to leave or arrive...
The real truth is that I've always liked this photo, for the perspective plane and because it's full of lines with variety of lights and shadows... In short, I couldn't wait to find an excuse to use it :)

Another piece with my friend @Rosindust, the 23rd, so far...
I can't give it a definition of its musical genre, there are many things in it and in these cases I solve the dilemma with a nice tag "World", which in fact means everything and nothing, or maybe only that it's not extraterrestrial music :)
Or maybe, in this case, choosing "World" is just right: a few days ago I was in Marseille, France, it was early in the morning and while everyone was sleeping I received on my cell phone the recording of Tatiana's part from Siberia. I listened to it and I replied: "Thank you! Tonight, in Rome,I'll put it all together and I'll let you know".
A few hours later, she was probably walking in a wood when she listened to the finished track I just sent back. Now it seems normal but, just thinking about something like this, until a few years ago it would have seemed impossible...
The wide world has become a small world.

So far so close - with Rosin dust

I experimented with combining ragtime and blues in this piece and created this hybrid. 

The blues/rag hybrid is in the form of Intro-AA-B-CC-B-A.

The strains A and B are written to be reminiscent of song singing and bridge B is more like an instrumental solo.

I have always thought that it is easier to compose and touch the listener's emotions with minor clef pieces, with melancholic and thoughtful hints or, at least, it is for me. But sometimes, as a small challenge to myself, I like writing something cheerful, so this is a little ode to joy.
Dedicate to the dear Debra, musician and listener always sensitive to all the nuances and colors of music.
For this piece I played two classical guitars, bass, piano and wrote three digital wind lines for clarinet and saxes. I hope you enjoy it.

Feels like heaven!

After picking up and falling in love with the low whistle this year, I wanted to compose an Irish folk style song for which I can play and record most of the instruments. So this is what I came up with.

Aunt Maggie's Pie

Please enjoy my latest offering to you all. It is another seagoing inspired track. Over the years I have seen many deep ocean whales in their natural setting but only once have I seen a pod and it was awesome. There must of been at least twenty of them spread across the bow at distance. I immediately reported my sightings to the captain who immediately stopped engines.  He went on to explain that in this situation you have two choices you can go hard to starboard or port depending on our postion relative to the whales course or simply stop the engines and take in the view explaining the chances of seeing another pod this large is very remote. this all happened long before smartphones came along so we had no way of recording the event. This took place when I was nineteen and I am now 71 and it is a memory that has stayed with me all these years. So I say to all our fantastic young people .... You are at the stage in your life were you are creating your memories .... .don't waste a minute. Thank you all for the great support you give me.... love and peace..
