In addition to count on support of artists of great caliber such as: Nick Devon, Soul Button, Blancah w / Warung Waves, Bog w / Diynamic Radio Show. VOV also collects important releases by record companies such as: Suah Records, Steyoyoke, Dialtone Records,Us & Them,Three Hands and Cohesive. Their evolution in the field of musical production, led them to appear alongside the one of great artists: Recondite, Pisetzky, Petar Dundov, Patrice Baumel, Locked Groove, Hill Of Vision, Nick Devon and some of upcoming artists in their next shows with  Monoloc, Boston 168 and Agents Of Time.

In 2013, Valantis (Co Owner) founded their own label called Us & Them Records, where they connect people of similar mentality, through their releases that already with releases from Brazilian producers such as: Obscure Sense and Dub Recycle.

One of Australias most talented, inspired and sought after artists, Jamie Stevens, makes a welcome and long overdue return to Bedrock with The Beneficiary EP. Having first been introduced back in 2008 via his exceptional remix of John Digweeds Warung Beach (BEDPPF10), Jamie also contributed the standout Indigo to Bedrock 14 (BED14CD), and collaborated with John Digweed & Nick Muir to create Prism for their 2013 Versus (BEDVS01CD) project. 

Now, hes back and in the words of Mr Digweed: Jamie Stevens is on fire right now. As an enticing opener, The Beneficiary is hard to beat. Its carefully structured layers of hypnotic percussive beauty are topped with subtle melodic swirls, as it glides effortlessly onwards in a masterclass of intricate excellence. 

In perfect contrast, A Bird In The Hand is a hissing, whirling dervish of pent-up, wickedly delicious excitement a twisting, dipping and soaring fireball of joyous energy, that grows and mutates and expands inexorably from start to finish. 

Essentially, what joins both of these unique compositions at the hip is an attention to detail that marks Jamie Stevens out as an exceptional producer at the top of his game. Two decades of stunning original productions, most recently for the likes of All Day I Dream, Replug, Balance Music and microCastle, alongside a mindboggling array of remix outings, gives an insight into the heart and soul of Jamie Stevens. Each masterpiece (and his unique DJ sets) journeys into the human psyche in a way that only a small number of composers and DJs within the electronic music realm can. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis re-link for another superb outing on Watergate.

If you know, you know. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis make sweet music together, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie once made babes. Tunes that melt you into the floor and roll dancefloors from Tulum to Tblisi. Their debut collaboration ‚Hope‘ was a dawning highlight of 2017 and Beatport Deep House no.1, while ‚Love Letters from Sicily‘, was a lustrous late summer anthem, reinforcing their knack for the sublime.

Their latest opus ‚Crying Juno / Cafuné‘ begins where its predecessors left off, taking life after Matthias and Ryan exchanged ideas back and forth over a period of months before finally settling in the former’s Holzmarkt studio in Berlin to finish giving the tracks their form. Together they’ve crafted a masterful yin and yang between joy and melancholy. ‚Crying Juno‘ is the buoyant leader, propelled by an insistent groove and ‘80s synths, both bittersweet and undeniably uplifting. ‚Cafuné‘ continues with the orchestral themes that gave us ‚Hope‘, as sweeping strings and keys swell over a bed of delicate percussion, gradually building into a delicious groove.

We at You Plus One take pride in introducing undiscovered gems to our beloved underground. Our last EP, Spirit Animals by Yarni was our most successful release to date and quickly climbed to Top 10 on the Beatport Electronica charts. For our lucky number seven record titled “I Was Blind” we are delighted to feature the debut release of the elusive L.A. duo Haddadi Von Engst. This pair, a classically trained pianist with a vision and a master engineer with years of studio mileage, burst out the gate with incredibly impressive material. The original track features vocals by electronic band Phonic Youth, and the complimentary instrumental holds its own as a powerful substitute for those dub-heads in the house. To perfectly round off this EP with a remix, we invited our dear friend and electronic music behemoth Rodriguez Jr. He’s put together something truly special by creating one of the heaviest, mind-melting tunes we’ve heard from him in some time. Our label’s trajectory is currently somewhere between the Moon and Mars so we are very excited to have you join our rocketship to the edge of the universe.
