erinnerungs.vermögen (for string quartet)

This work is a commission from Herrenhaus Edenkoven (2023) and was written as a coalition of my artistic residency in this wonderful place. The work is based on Miguel Hernández's poem reflecting on three vital moments: birth, motherhood and death. In both, there is a scream, according to the poem's author, which he expresses with the word ¡Ay!, which in Spanish is very polysemic and can also refer to flamenco singing.
Recording of the premiere of the work in Herrenhaus Edenkoben by the IEMA Ensemble and myself reciting the text (14/9/23).
