We all want our Step-Dad journey to be a magically family adventure filled with love, respect and acceptance. Unfortunately, life is not like the movies, no matter how hard we try to envision a smooth ride. 

If you want to manage your journey so that you experience more wins than loses, you have to identify your expectations and plan around them. Expect to be let down. Expect to be hated at times. Remember, not everyone will love you at first but if you do the work in time you will prevail.
