Franco126, all'anagrafe Federico Bertollini, è nato e cresciuto a Roma, nel quartiere Trastevere. 126, il numero aggiunto al suo pseudonimo in onore del collettivo musicale di cui fa parte, la Lovegang, è il numero dei gradini della scalinata di Viale Glorioso, a Roma.
Nel 2017 Franco inizia una collaborazione musicale con Carl Brave, formando il duo Carl Brave x Franco126: i due pubblicano i singoli "Sempre in due" e "Pellaria", anticipando l'album in studio Polaroid, in seguito certificato disco di platino dalla FIMI per le oltre 50.000 copie vendute. Nel frattempo, il duo continua a lavorare anche per progetti esterni, tra cui il singolo "Barceloneta" con Coez e la collaborazione con Noyz Narcos per il singolo "Borotalco", traccia elogiata dalla critica.
Nel frattempo, il 10 ottobre 2018 ha pubblicato il singolo "Frigobar", seguito da "Ieri l'altro". All'inzio del 2019 esce il terzo singolo "Stanza singola", con Tommaso Paradiso de Thegiornalisti, che anticipa l'uscita dell'omonimo album di debutto, composto da 10 tracce.
