The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nicolas Rada for his third appearance. Upon beginning his career in 2007, Nicolas quickly became a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo where his original productions and private remixes become a staple in the sets of the storied DJ. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist eventually found a home on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Eelke Kleijn’s Days Like Nights where his groovy progressive sound has flourished. 2017 proved to be a breakout year, highlighted by his first remix collaboration with Nick Warren, where the duo reworked Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ to both critical and commercial success. Now frequent studio partners, Nicolas and Nick have continued to build a strong studio synergy showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint while also recording a string of impressive remixes for Get Physical, Monday Social Music, Proton Music and Timeless Moment. On the solo front, Nicolas has also continued to prosper with an appearance on Patrice Buamel’s GU Berlin compilation, along with original projects for Sudbeat Music and TRYBESof. Having first appeared on our free download series with his hugely sought-after remake of Bjork’s ‘Mutual Core’ in 2019 and then again in 2020 with an equally large rendition of Underworld’s ‘Cowgirl’, we’re happy to welcome Nicolas back with a huge interpretation of the Depeche Mode classic ‘Precious’. Initially remixed by progressive house icons Sasha and Spooky in 2005, Nicolas now brings a new perspective to the track which has been championed by John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. After months of requests from electronic music fans we’re now happy to offer it as an exclusive free download. Enjoy!

BIOGRAFIA

Franco Armellini es un DJ y productor de Progressive House y Melodic Techno nacido en Rosario, Argentina.
En el 2014 comenzó a incursionar en la música electrónica y rápidamente descubrió que estaba delante de su mayor sueño. Poder transmitir desde una cabina, y nada menos que mediante música, esa energía particular que sólo este género musical le había provocado con tanta intensidad.
En 2016 dejó su ciudad natal para instalarse en Pekín, China, donde vivió por un tiempo para aprender esa cultura e idioma pero también fue desarrollando sus habilidades como DJ. Luego de otro prolongado tiempo en Barcelona, España, regresó a Rosario, donde dedicó la mayor parte de su tiempo a desarrollar música y al mismo tiempo generar un nombre reconocido.
Gracias a presentaciones con grandes figuras a nivel mundial como Nick Warren y Henry Saiz, y otras nacionales como Soundexile, Ezequiel Arias, Brigado Crew, Sebastián Busto, Paul Deep, entre otros, se hizo un lugar en la escena local y pudo emprender giras por varios países alrededor de América y Europa (Chile, México, Estados Unidos, Inglaterra y España)

   Franco Armellini is an Argentinian Italian progressive house and techno DJ and producer. Born in Rosario, Argentina, and influenced since his adolescence by funk rock bands such as the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and progressive rock bands like "Pink Floyd", it is that in 2014, when venturing into electronic music, he sees quickly identified with the characteristic sounds of indie dance and progressive house and techno.
His musical productions have been released by world-renowned record labels such as "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻" 𝗯𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻, "𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸” 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗢𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱 and "Dreamers" by Fernando Ferreyra, and have been continuously supported by great national and international artists, including 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗱, 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮́𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼, 𝗘𝗲𝗹𝗸𝗲 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗷𝗻, 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗢𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗠𝗰 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, to name a few. His track “Twilight Memo” from Twilight Memo EP, released on Perfecto Records, was re-released on a compilation (VA - Various artists) on the label “𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀” founded by 𝗗𝗷 𝗧𝗶𝗲̈𝘀𝘁𝗼 himself.
He has played alongside great exponents of the world scene such as 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿, 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝘇, 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗮 among others, and has toured several countries around America and Europe.
Nowadays, Franco continues to work on his musical productions and his monthly radio show "𝗔𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻" with the same passion and the premise that "music, like all kinds of art, is a valuable tool for self-knowledge and a beautiful way to transcend”.
