This new reference on Dilek Records is something very particular and out of the ordinary. It was achieved after a long period of work in the studio, which lasted three years and was done with a lot of heart and passion. It's the 10th vinyl release of this surprising Swiss/Argentinean label who is now presenting a totally multicultural project. These productions are full of diversity and humanity, telling the story of an unusual encounter that led to a beautiful musical project with many influences, but mainly focused on the dancefloor, without complexes and far away from the purism.

Benedetti & Bianco is a project born of the need for expression of Nacho Benedetti and Franco Bianco. Grabbing from the musical traditions of Uruguay and Argentina, they began remixing vinyl with Alexi Delano and other huge figures of the worldwide scene. Their mixes go from techno to music of the "Rio de la Plata" region while their intention is having fun and creating something different to dance.

With this new work, they finally present their album named "Jorge Drexler Remixes" which is like the title indicates a release including remixes of Jorge Drexler's productions from the album "12 Segundos de Oscuridad". This project is audacious, full of captivating sounds and it also includes two amazing collaborations of Mike Shannon and Jesper Dahlback, who are very talented, well known and respected artists with a long career behind them. Their work is also very solid and balanced; it's an honor to have them on board of this new reference, that means a lot to everyone who participated.

This release will be available on vinyl as well as in digital format including bonus tracks and later on also in CD, with even more unedited material! Listen to these tracks and have the opportunity to discover something totally different with some of Jorge Drexler's uncut material.

Jorge Drexler Remixes by Benedetti & Bianco w/ Jesper Dahlback & Mike Shannon OVERVIEW

This time, the Swiss/Argentinean label Dilek Records introduces its fifth reference, Planchete Lateral EP. We can define this limited edition as a freaky, techno and western country track. All of this, delivered by our Argentinean captain, Franco Bianco, featuring an interpretation of the famous German artist, Marek Hemmann.

For his second EP, Franco made a crazy experiment like in a chemistry laboratory, and we must admit that he totally crashed everything, because this track is a hit, and it will rock the dance floor by surprising every kind of crowd.

In the original version, you will experiment serious techno beats, but at the same time a funny and ironic atmosphere with this surprising cowboy guitar giving you the idea of being on top of your running horse in the Midwest. This one is perfect for the closing of a set, when everyone looks at you with big eyes, wanting always more, right in this moment, you will make them go crazy again, and again, smiling and thinking positive with these mind blowing beats.

On the other hand, Marek’s remix is a different approach of this craziness, a smooth and intriguing version who slowly builds up, to lead you to a really sexy world. By getting your body to move to those pulsating beats, it will bring you in another dimension, experimenting something of great quality and skilled production. This track is perfect for the 2/4 of a set to create a break and lose yourself in this harmonic variation.

Planchete Lateral (Original Mix)

Argentinian Franco Bianco delivers 3 tracks of late night/ early morning basement-tech-grooves for the in-form Hypercolour. The lead track 'Garchantes' takes a sulty latin vocal and sits it over a bed of analogue bass, lo-fi and low-slung this oozes sex appeal.

Remixes come courtesy of Bearweasel (groovy), Pedramovich (cosmic) and Audioresponse (trippy!!!).

Franco completes the EP with the driving acid stabs of '330033' and the insane 'Soledad'. Halloween House at it's best! Certainly one for the witching hours!!

Garchantes (Original Mix)

Sehr smooth und synthblubberverliebt, der Titeltrack. Dazu noch dieser fast schon vergessene spanische Sprechgesang. Ach. Herzig. Und dabei übertreibt der Track nie, sondern bleibt immer vor allem smooth und bezaubernd. 

Ein Stück für die Afterhour auf Ibiza. Klar, aber dabei dennoch klingelnd glücklich. Und noch besser “Soledad”, auf dem die Synths erst mal die Hälfte des Tracks solo vor sich hin glucksen können. 

Der Remix von Bearweasel macht House draus, was mir im Zusammenhang mit der Stimme einen Hauch zu klassisch ist aber Pedramovich’s-Glass-Table-Remix hat etwas von einem geschliffen klaren Robert-Hood-Mix auf Abwegen.

Lo profundo nace de la presunta nada, se materializa de repente, casi sin pedir permiso, revolcándose sobre sí mismo”.

Fiel a su necesidad de nuevos horizontes, Franco Bianco entrega aquí tres historias diferentes en tres pistas vigorosas, combinando estilos y cosmovisiones sin por eso romper con el universo del que proviene. El resultado es un trabajo de sugestiva unidad en la que sin embargo reina soberana la diversidad. “Es que lo nuevo está en el fondo de lo conocido. De un ‘conocido’ nunca acabado, pues nunca termina de formarse o solo se forma en el instante de la escucha y sigue luego su camino."

“En Lo Profundo” es el trabajo más libre y al mismo tiempo más acotado y sólido de Franco Bianco. Los tres temas originales en su diversidad viajan sin embargo juntos, como tres caballos que sin sobrepasarse se alternan en la delantera, comenzando con la tribu 'Slick', con su sorprendente introducción, siguiendo con el fuerte mensaje de 'Un Kolla', y concluyendo con el esencial de "En Lo Profundo”, donde se entrelazan la luz y la oscuridad, el dibujo de los sentimientos y los estados de ánimo.

‘Un Kolla’ remite a un poema de Fortunato Ramos recitado por la joven Eyen que reivindica la cosmovisión y el sentir de los pueblos originarios de Bolivia, Chile y Argentina en su resistencia a la dominación extranjera a lo largo de 500 años.

Las re-versiones disponibles en este vinilo de 12" pertenecen al productor Austriaco John Tejada; al alemán Gabriel Ananda y a los suecos Cari Lekebusch y Samuel L Session. En la edición digital (iTunes por ejemplo), podrán encontrar además las sorprendentes versiones del estadounidense Bruno Pronsato y de los alemanes Yapacc y Faray. Y como cierre, la sublime versión del nipón (oriunda estrella de Tokyo) Iori Wakasa. Cada una de estas remezclas lleva la impronta original de culturas diversas, siempre en equilibrio entre la pista de baile y el talento necesario para prestarle aire a la libertad creativa.

Al dicho que sostiene que “la espera desespera” En Lo Profundo le responde “la espera valió la pena”. Desde sus originales hasta las remezclas, más allá de lo que estamos acostumbrados en la música electrónica, hay aquí una obra fuera de lo común. Y no es poco.

Levitium is an independent music label from Ecuador, which brings together musicians focusing in outstanding electronic music, always carrying a special and unique vibe.

Now, it's the time to discover Niko Rivera from Chile. He was born in the mid 70’s in Santiago de Chile, and started his career as a DJ. Now, he’s presenting his new work named Santa Fé. By listening to the Spanish vocals, you could say those are very controversial. This leaves space to your own interpretation, so let your thoughts free.

This title track includes a remix delivered by the Argentinean tech house producer Franco Bianco who composed a subtle and yet very strong version. He embraced the strength of Mercedes Sosa's vocals and made honour to these local and folkloric Argentinean influences.

During this year, Franco’s creative efforts have been dedicated to his current LIVE! tour with the Tenori-On were he presented himself from Beirut to Tokyo passing by New York, Santo Domingo, Berlin and other cities.

He also released some amazing tracks on Hypercolour and Space Factory between other labels. Nowadays, while spending every weekend touring around the world he also found the time to produce an album containing remixes of no other than Oscar-winning artist Jorge Drexler, planned to be released in 2011.

This release is a real South American collaboration full of emotions that you'll catch while listening to these high quality tracks. Enjoy, open your ears and your heart...

The original version of this track is clearly a masterpiece, and has been played and charted all over the world. The Argentinean Franco Bianco was chosen as one of the remixers for this sensual composition. He added his special touch and revisited this track by making it crazier with some delicate breaks. This year, he also released some freaky tunes on Hypercolour and Space Factory between other labels. But mainly, he was very active travelling around the world from Beirut to Tokyo, passing by New York and Santo Domingo for his Live! Tour with the Tenori-On.

Anthony Collins & Franco Bianco - Chacarera (Original Mix)

Since his first steps in Buenos Aires, Franco Bianco has been related to music and since then, he has polished a personal sound. Though he is an electronic musician orientated to the dance floor, his work covers from ambient, to techno merged with folk, country and tango. That's why he has been mentioned as “the Danny Boyle of electronic music” by some European media.

His music took him on worldwide tours (from Australia to Lebanon, through Japan, USA and Egypt), with more than 300 presentations in 27 different countries during the last years. In many European countries, there have been queues to see his shows. His vinyl records (the last four being sold out) are played by international artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Laurent Garnier or the mythical Danny Tenaglia, among others.

Every year, he extensively tours Europe, as well as South and Central America. In Argentina he is also regularly booked at some of the most important megafestivals, such as Telecom Personal Fest (2004) as well as the last editions of Creamfields Buenos Aires (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013). Talking about European festivals, in 2010, he played at the well-known Circle of Love Festival, and in 2011, he played on the 1st of May at the Görlitzer Park in Berlin as a headliner, in front of more than 7k people. From 2007 to 2014, he participated every year at the Midsommar Festival and Secret Island Nation Festival (Switzerland and Sweden respectively) and also at “Fête de la Musique” in Geneva as a headliner on the main stage.

One of his projects in 2011 was also a vinyl, digital & CD edition, with remixed versions from singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler (winner of an Oscar in 2007), which he produced together with Nacho Benedetti. This important album also included re-versions of Mike Shannon and Jesper Dahlback. Franco was in charge of presenting this album from September until December of that year, in 23 European and American cities. On his SoundCloud page, you can listen to the Tour-Closing night, with the sound of the crowd in Ecuador. In this way, you’ll feel the energy of this unforgettable show.

In 2013, after 6 years of continuous touring and launches over the four continents, he finally found the time to work on his new album, which got released at the end of 2014 in vinyl, digital & CD formats. In the meantime, he was always active with DJ sets, instead of his usual LIVE set-up, that kept him busy in Europe and the Americas. His new album "En Lo Profundo", including remixes of John Tejada, Gabriel Ananda and Cari lekebusch among others, was also followed by big shows in Argentina, Dominican Republic and Switzerland to present the record and his new LIVE+DJ Set performance. The future of Franco Bianco is certainly similar to his music releases, totally eclectic and unpredictable.
