The Mekanism brings his class to a new EP on the red hot New York label Boogeyman that includes a remix from the boss, Jesse Calosso.

French talent The Mekanism has already been busy in 2024 with a new tune on Manda Moor and Sirus Hood's Moon Child label following on from a big 2023. His music has landed on the likes of Robsoul Recordings, Moan Recordings, hedZup Records and Whippin' Records, always with a subtle evolution each and every time, and each one comes with plenty of innovative ideas.

This one kicks off with What It Was feat Jadhé - a signature house sound with a fat, elastic bassline and crisp drum funk up top. Off kilter chords and well treated vocals are what stand this one out further and mean it has such character, then These Days Feat Saad Shah goes deep. The warm, rubbery drums still have drive but this time a trap-style vocal brings melancholic moods and makes for a nice emotive cut full of soul.

Jesse Calosso is an underground pioneer who has established this label as one of the finest in the contemporary landscape. His own tunes are in part responsible for that and this time his remix of 'These Days' brings plenty of cool and depth to the punchy deep house drums and soul-fulled neon chords. Add in some trippy little effects and you have a classy and innovative sound.

This is another rich EP from The Mekanism who promises to have an exciting 2024.

Manda Moor is a Danish/Filipino producer and DJ based in Paris. Her productions and DJ sets are somewhere between House and Techno, groove and tech infused, influenced by the House of Chicago from the 80s / 90s.
She’s a regular at underground gatherings such as Amnesia Ibiza for Luciano's Cadenza Vagabundos, DJ Pierre's Acid Jack during ADE, a resident for Ibiza Global radio show It’s All About The Music, and for the 1st French electronic music radio: Radio FG.
She’s been flaming the hottest spots in Paris like Rex Club and shared line ups with big players such as Luciano, DJ Sneak, Paul Johnson, DJ Pierre, Sirus Hood, Richie Hawtin, Camelphat, Ida Engberg, wAFF, Joey Daniel, AJ Christou.
After working and touring worldwide as a DJ and tour manager, she definitely has learned along the way. She felt the urge to express herself in a different way: She now turns her skills to producing with her inaugural worldwide release on the English label Kaluki. Her debut EP quickly reached #1 on Beatport Minimal Deep Tech and #4 Overall releases, setting the tone to a bright future

Franco Schmidt, DJ and Producer, was born in 1998 in Cerrito, Entre Ríos, Argentina. He became interested in music from a very young age, and at an early age began to get involved in electronic music and its production. His sets feature a variety of genres, adapting to any show and characterizing his unique style. Since 2014, he has performed in various countries, including Colombia, Perú, and Argentina. Today, he has garnered support from international artists such as Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Franky Rizardo, wAAF, Paco Osuna, Nicole Moudaber, Richy Ahmed, Seb Zito, Stefano Noferini, and more. He has even created his own record label, "Sugaro Music."
