I feel like it cries out for a B section. seems repetitive (although I am more guilty than most of just that...)

I like the snare but it seems to have a little bit too much reverb compared to everything else in the track, its like you made a second drummer go out of the room with it whilst the rest of the band played.

a competent cute little video game song. for my tastes I find the eq quite tinny. I would have pushed the bottom end up. but maybe you were going for that thin Game Boy sound. fair enough if you were.

Nice themes and sounds. The delayed plucks add a fine rhythm to the track.

maybe some change of style in the lead instruments in this last section would have lifted the track for me.

Nice mix of bright and muted sounds you've created here. Good not to ingnore the bell tone slider. Do you make your own patches, if I may ask ?  The music has some rather nice moments. They do not really stand out though, amidst all short ( almost ) equal intensity sections. A bit more intensity/density variation between sections would have helped with that imo.

Nice arpeggiations.  Still waiting for you to hit a white key! lol

Ah!  There we go :D Break was a nice surprise.  Cool how you made some sounds like they came from an FM synth.

The original Radioshack MG-1 happens to be the first synthesizer I ever owned, and it's what I first learned synthesis with. I sold it a couple of years ago, which I now somewhat regret. However, the plugin is amazing and it exceeds the original in many ways!

Surrealistic MG-1 Plus by Cherry Audio

KVR Audio One Synth Challenge:  All tracks have to be done with the same synth, as directed.  This month (April 2022):  The Surrealistic MG-1 Plus.

This challenge hits close to home, because my first synth was the Radio Shack MG-1, which I bought with telemarketing money I earned from Kreepy Krauly in 1983 (pictured in synth photo).  Back then, for me, it was always a one-synth challenge every day, because it was all I had!  I created multi-tracks by recording onto cassette, overdubbing to reel-to-reel, and reversing the process.  

Track created in Apple Logic Pro, using 36 instances of the Surrealistic MG-1 Plus plug-in.  Only effects (all native) were EQ on a few tracks, along with some touches of distortion and parallel compression.

This has inspired me to release an album of tracks I made with just the MG-1 Plus, along with some old cassette copies of tracks I made with my MG-1, back in the early 80's.

Uruwashi no Gate

Emerging from a period of profound personal transformation, GOFF’S "Struggle, keep moving on," the poignant title track from his debut EP. This is not merely music; it is an auditory memoir of resilience, a chronicle of recovery forged in the fires of adversity.

Following a life-altering brain injury, the loss of his business, and the upheaval of multiple relocations, the artist found his anchor in the digital realm of sound. Music production became his daily therapy, a sacred space to process the struggle of rebuilding a life while navigating the complexities of his daughter's autism and ADHD diagnosis. Each synth line and every beat is a stepping stone on a path back to himself.

The track itself is a testament to this journey. It builds with tense, ascending synths that mirror the anxiety and effort of pushing forward, all driven by a relentless, rolling bassline that represents the unwavering will to persevere. The project is imbued with a deeper, familial love. The powerful title, "Struggle, keep moving on," was gifted by his daughter, who also serves as the visual heart of the upcoming EP. The stunning album cover, featuring her sitting contemplatively on an unused railway line gazing into the distance, is a perfect metaphor: a young life on a path once traveled, now stilled, looking with quiet strength toward an unwritten future. It is a symbol of pause, reflection, and the immense potential that lies ahead.

"Struggle, keep moving on" is more than an electronic track; it is an anthem of survival. It’s a beacon for anyone in their own battle, a reminder that even on the most broken of tracks, we can find the strength to keep moving on.
