Summer 2013 will see the release of Behind, a brand new album by youAND:THEMACHINES aka Martin Müller - one half of youANDme - on the Ornaments imprint. As youANDME the pair have seen plenty of success with releases on labels like Cocoon, Rekids and Deeplabs. Their last mix-cd was hailed as one of the best of the year by DE:BUG and between them they have officially remixed influential artists like Moodymann, Seth Troxler, Radio Slave or Lawrence.

As is usually the case for this vinyl-loving outfit, the Behind album has a limited to 333 copies hand-painted cover edition with unique artwork and a stamped number, and features vocal collaborations with seminal artists like Robert Owens, Brothers' Vibe, Delhia de France, Bajka and Keter Darker as well as instrumental contributions from Olga Kholodnaia who plays strings, Martin Kohlstedt who plays Rhodes and e-piano and solina strings from The Analog Roland Orchestra man, Michal Matlak.

Behind is Martin's long player debut on Ornaments and is an album that brings together his wide array of influences -- dub techno, ambient, Detroit techno, house, but also encompasses plenty of analogue hardware, field recordings and hidden messages. The aim when writing the album was to use no samples and instead craft every sound himself.

Some of the equipment used through the album to lend it such a unique sonic signature includes Waldorf Microwave, Moog Voyager, Roland TR909, 808, 707, Alpha Juno and some MFB drumboxes amongst others. "The aim was to take these old instruments and combine them with modern techniques from 2013," says Martin. "I wanted to make music that doesn't loose the old spirit of yesteryear."

The results make for an album that doesn't follow trends but instead comes from deep inside the mind of the producer who made it. Inspired and influenced by more than 15 years of listening to electronic music, it is a truly cross genre work.

From the grainy dubwise ambiance of opener "Entrance" to the deep and lush techno of "Perception" and on through more intense and sinewy cuts like "Domain Specific" and the blissful, beatless, string laced excursion that is this is "Desire", this is a record with lots of narrative; an album that really takes you somewhere. plenty of extra character also comes from the respective collaborators who each have their own distinctive voices, making Behind a truly captivating work of art.

The world feels a bit colder these days. To keep your hearts warm, Etui Records has opened the winter camp again. We invited artists from Australia, Italy and Germany to deliver a musical fireplace of dub and deep techno.

The third installment of Etui Winter Camp starts with the laid-back moods of Answering No Questions by Matthias Springer and great rhodes sounds in The Receiver by Simon Mann. Dresden´s new artist Planetary Secrets dives into an ocean of chords with his They Have Been Here and Frank Hellmond shapes the dub house sound in his SH2000. Dandytracks of Vekton tell part 2 of their Dubstories About Us.

With his Ascending new Italian artist Drafted proves that Detroit techno and minimalism have been always a great combination. Planetary Secrets interprets also dub and techno in a minimalist way with his Courtyard. It´s followed by the fluffy The Wind Up from Sydney´s very own Trinity and the deep chords of Helly Larson´s Inside.

At the end of this year´s compilation Etui Records label head Insect O. shows his love for hypnotic driven techno in his track Kondor and Melbourne´s Silver Ash spread some chord funk across the dancefloors with his Meranti. Can dub techno sounds happy? Of course! May the world feels a bit warmer with this.

Etui Winter Camp 3 will be out as digital album incl. 11 tracks and special edition in white vinyl incl. 4 tracks limited to 300 copies.

Born near Dresden and now living in Cologne.Helly was diagnosed 6 Months ago with brain cancer.His last chance to win the fight is to go to a private clinic, which costs around 30.000 EUR. In addition to his crowdfunding campaign the community of artists around him has started this compilation to provide him with some good music, positive vibes and of course to help him to get the money he needs to survive.

Helly Larson has been producing music for more than 15 years now and contributed his releases to the people around the globe on labels like LucidFlow, Plastic City, Sofa Sessions, Etui Records and many more. Ibiza is a second home for him and his wife, where they play regular dj-sets at Ibiza Live Radio.

Cold Tear Records is an electronic music label that specializes in dub techno, deep techno and ambient music. The label was founded in 2010 by Evaldas Azbukauskas, an electronic music producer from Lithuania known as Giriu Dvasios, Tamsis, 101 and SoulSonic. The motivation behind starting the label was to create a platform to release founder’s own music, but also other talented artists. Today Cold Tear Records is a well established label in the dub techno scene and the most active and productive label in Lithuania.
