Babylon Films in association with Our Haus Productions presents Metropolis, based on Fritz Lang's 1927 groundbreaking sci-fi masterpiece, set in a dystopian future where society is divided into two classes: the wealthy elite living in luxury above ground, and the oppressed workers who live in harsh conditions below. 

Metropolis (2025) reimagines the iconic Fritz Lang film for a modern audience, blending cutting-edge visual effects with a contemporary narrative. Set in 3025, where class division and technological control reign, the film explores themes of humanity, power, and rebellion. Sound familiar? With a diverse cast and a fresh score by Frank Jacobs, it aims to resonate with today's societal issues, while paying homage to the original's groundbreaking artistry. Most notable for its innovative special effects and set design, it is a landmark in cinematic history. 

The story follows Freder, the son of the City Master, who discovers the plight of the workers and falls in love with one of them. As Freder seeks to bridge the gap between the classes, he encounters Maria, a spokesperson for the unprivileged, who inspires hope for change. Maria's likeness is recreated by a mad scientist, in the form of a robot, which further complicates things. The film explores themes of industrialization, class struggle for justice, and the potential dangers of technology, culminating in a dramatic confrontation, that calls for unity and understanding between the two worlds.
