Next up we have Blindfold Recordings label boss Pete Oak with his new single ‘Maleficent’ accompanied by a strong remix from Stil Vor Talent wonder-producer Kellerkind. 

The title track may trick some childhood memories, as this being the name of the Mistress of All Evil from the 50’s cartoon, Sleeping Beauty. Listen to the lyrics and you will know why.

‘Maleficent’ is a deep and emotional track filled with vocal textures, sweeping melodies and a consistent deep percussive groove. Pete Oak is on the main vocal for this emotive piece. 

Kellerkind takes the original to the next level with an explosive afro interpretation. His remix is a guaranteed peak hour track that will set any crowd on fire.

Watergate favourites GHEIST make their long-awaited label debut.

There’s an auspicious connection between GHEIST and Watergate; the Berlin four-piece played their very first live show at the club in 2017. Since this time, not only have they become tried and true favourites at the Oberbaumbrücke hotspot, but they’ve caught the ears of electronic music fans the world over, establishing themselves as one of the most promising new acts on the scene.

After stellar releases on Last Night On Earth, Diynamic and their own Radau Records, ‘Zukunft’ is a fitting debut, shining with the GHEIST’s trademark juxtaposition of melancholic and euphoric tones. The title arouses an immediate nostalgia courtesy of its shimmering combination of organ stabs, scattered vocal effects and smooth bass. ‘Disclose Yours’ will make the hairs on your arms stand up with its major key synth riff and stirring vocal. Completing the package is a slick dub, primed for the early hours.

'Fly Away' is a deep house tune about breaking free. It's about leaving everything you hold dear behind and taking a leap towards a new chapter.

Laroz and Sheera wrote the song in Tel Aviv during the corona pandemic. The ambition was to capture the feelings of the whole of humanity being locked-down in their homes longing to get outside and meet each other.
This future beach anthem unloads a lot of frustration but also breathes hope and expectations of a brighter future.

Laroz has previously released both deep house and organica productions on Solomun’s Diynamic as well as Sabo’s Sol Selectas. Fly Away is his and Sheera’s debut on HMWL.
