Ame is a prolific singer, Saxophonist and song writer, born and Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa. Ame is an indigenous name given by birth to the artist. Ame means water in Urhobo language Delta State Nigeria. Water depicts life in its entirety. Its essential to human existence. Water has no enemy.

Ame started singing at the young age of 7 in his local church. At age 12, he had started taking up lead roles in choir presentations. At age 15, he learnt how to read music notation and joined CCC Central choir led by Professor Wole Adetiran (MON) where he learnt how to perform and direct classical pieces. At this point, Ame did lots of studio back up vocals, took up the post of music director for many church choirs as well as produced a bit of local musicians before going to study at the university of Calabar and Lagos State University Nigeria.

After school, Ame started his musical career professionally in 1996 by starting his Band known as “Ame and the Agogo Sound”. Working as music teacher/consultant to private schools, he was able to cater for the immediate needs of organising the band

Ame’s accolades includes performing alongside Lucky Dube, Femi Kuti, Tee Mac, Beautiful Nubia, Mike Aremu, Sound Sultan, Shinna Peters, Yinka Davies, Dotun Bankole, Bright Gain to mention a few. He has performed concerts and festival like World Music Day 2007, 2008, 2009 (French Cultural Centre and NTA Ground), Felabration concert 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 to 2014 (New African Shrine), Naijazz Festival 2008 (studio 868 Bishop Aboyade Cole), Morning Ride, Studio performance live transmission 2002(NTA Studio B) to mention a few.

Ame’s latest Ep is set to drop by February 2023 .It is an embodiment of both western and African fusion of styles with creative inspirational messages. His latest singles “Fake life” is set to rock the air waves as soon as possible .Ame is a
wonderful performer.His energy on stage is a must watch anyday.
